About this deal

Aqua Wax is a liquid spray formula (containing real carnauba wax) that is great in providing a ‘top-up’ wax protection and shine to your paintwork. Best of all, this is achieved in a short, easy application process that can be done straight after washing/rinsing, when the car is still dripping wet. The product can be applied to all exterior surfaces, including rubber trim and glass – although not on the windscreen, as this can cause smearing. Both will create a protective layer for your car’s paint from UV rays, water and other contaminants but do not last as long as synthetic waxes. You’ll typically need to wax your car every six weeks if you use carnauba wax. Autoglym Aqua Wax is a great way to top up the wax protection on a car, in between conventional polishing/waxing. Where to buy a dirty discoloured look and I'm hoping to treat the paintwork so that it repels this type of grime much better keeping it cleaner

For the driver seeking to renew that like-new smell, the Autoglym provides autofresh air freshener in 500ml spray bottles. Most automotive deodorizers are passive, but this is an active product that allows you to target the sources of unpleasant odors. It also has a permeating effect that creates a refreshing and long-lasting fragrance throughout the vehicle interior. Apply the product sparingly to all exterior surfaces excluding the windscreen (2-3 sprays per panel is generally sufficient)

In contrast, synthetic waxes and sealants are much cheaper and last much longer. They’re often available in sprayable or liquid form so they’re easier to apply. However, they’re regarded as providing a slightly inferior finish to real wax. What form do waxes come in? Most detailers will recommend using a clay bar first if you're wanting to apply wax to your car. This will keep your paintwork free of any contaminants so you get a better overall finish. If you want to know more about this process, we've written a guide to clay barring.

Ceramic wax is the next big thing in car wax. Proper ceramic waxing is best left to the experts thanks to the long curing time required, but it will leave a hard coating that can last for years. There are also hybrid ceramic options that blend synthetic wax with silicon dioxide ceramic to give you similar results that you can do yourself. Available as a paste, spray or liquid it won’t last as long as proper ceramic coating but it's far easier to apply. Only 2-4 sprays are needed per panel – anymore and Aqua Wax can be difficult to buff off. Simply spray onto the car and wipe each panel with the microfiber cloth applicator. Once done, follow up by buffing off the residue with a separate clean microfiber cloth. You’ll then be left with a decent shine and wax protection that provides impressive water beading. Traditional hard wax or cream polishes can take quite a while to apply, require a fair amount of elbow grease and can’t be used if the paintwork has any water on it whatsoever… and that’s highly likely after you’ve just washed and leathered the car, so the only answer is to wait while the bodywork fully dries. This can take hours. Aqua Wax is not a polish, so will not remove or improve the appearance of scratches, swirls or dull paint. Features & Benefits: Most waxes should be applied after you’ve washed the car and dried it with a chamois leather or microfiber cloth.Keeping your car exterior clean is a great way to take care of the aesthetic of your car as well as its longevity. Follow our step by step guide. An award winning product that’s proved its worth over many years, Rapid Aqua Wax is the perfect standby and one well worth keeping in your car at all times Aqua Wax is specially formulated to impart a brilliant smear-free finish on ALL exterior surfaces, even when the vehicle is wet. The immediate benefit is that there is no need to dry the car between washing and polishing. Pastes generally provide the best finish, but often require buffing to bring out the shine after application. Sprays and liquids can be applied much faster, and some don’t require a second buff, but their finishes tend to be less impressive.

Not all wax is the same and it’s worth knowing the different types so you can get the right results: Add a few drops of wax to a microfibre cloth or pad and apply it to your car by working your way over the body panels in small, overlapping circular motions. That way, you get an even and full coating on your car.Rapid Aqua Wax is the best kept secret in car care. Our carnauba based wax can be applied directly to a wet vehicle straight after washing, giving you a stunning hard wax finish in just a fraction of the time. However, Aqua Wax does have its limitations. It’s not a polish, so can’t remove scratches, swirls or improve the appearance of dull/faded paintwork. Dedicated polishes are needed in these situations. Pros Wax acts as a protectant to your paint. If you've ever been gifted some artisan waxed cheese you'll be familiar with the protective qualities of a wax casing; it'll protect the cheese from water, sun and other contaminants. Car wax works the same but on a much larger scale and the layer it forms is invisible. A good car was won't wear off easily and will protect your paint from heat, UV rays, water and other contaminants. Some of the more expensive waxes will also provide a nice deep shine. Natural waxes only come in paste form, and although they take extra effort to use, they produce the best results. The catch? They tend to be more expensive, and also only last for six to eight weeks.
