While I am enjoying the experience of reading this book (due to the great art), there is not enough information in each issue to warrant monthly story telling.

Its best-known series include Spawn, Monstress, Paper Girls, Saga, Invincible, Chew, and The Walking Dead.There’s no omniscient narrator or an internal dialogue with any characters so the nameless protagonist is a mystery throughout. In the first issue, we, the reader, follow Sonny from his Chinatown apartment to various places across the city where he engages in some damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don’t encounters with strangers. These are complete panels, but the ones who’ve picked up the first book will notice these are flat tones, unlike the dotted texture you can find on Book 1. He heads out to an home in an isolated area only to find the owners brutally tortured, then murdered.

The Professional meets Road to Perdition in this story of a family's unlikely guardian being hunted by rich and powerful men who are used to getting away with everything. I really can’t tel you all the ins and outs of how the main character got into what he was doing but I was entertained reading this.I wanted to produce things at a certain pace and I was hopeful that being this the second book, I’d be able to hit the ground running. Ultimately, Give it a Chance is the right rating to give at this stage but I am hoping to give a Highly Recommended come the trade review.
