About this deal

The coconut husk is a by-product of the coconut harvesting process and is considered renewable and sustainable since new crops of coconuts can be regrown repeatedly from the same trees. I use them mainly to clean my shower and it even gets the grout between the tiles, so I don’t have to use any abrasive or heavy cleaners.

Harnessing the many benefits of coconut oil, it’ll leave your skin soft and hydrated and smelling tantalisingly tropical. I decided to set up a system to use the waste from coconut harvesting and turn the waste coir into useful environmentally friendly products. As someone with OCD, the Scrub Daddy was my go to sponge because i cannot deal with pieces of food getting stuck in whatever i'm cleaning my dishes with.Scroll down to see maker story and environmental breakdown of this product compared to the market-leading disposable/unsustainable version of this product. These multipurpose scourers are highly durable and have been designed to offer excellent performance and to be sustainable. Since this waste is purchased rather than local coconut farmers in India discarding it, it provides them with an additional source of income.

Those conspicuous yellow and green kitchen sponges are ubiquitous in kitchens everywhere across the land. As well as being totally natural, the scourers are naturally antibacterial, free from toxic chemicals, recyclable and biodegradable. Being non-scratch, they are suitable for non-stick frying pans; great on hard surfaces like the cooker hob or stove top, and safe for enamel sinks and baths.Scour the scourge of microplastics going down your drain by swapping your nasty green and yellow plastic sponges for these brilliant, natural and plastic-free coconut coir scourers instead! The production of scourers does not create waste, and the husk they were made from would have been discarded otherwise. This means these materials only come from areas with existing harvesting practices, no virgin/old-growth forest is cut down for these materials. Therefore, it is understandable that you do not want to let yours go in an effort to be more eco-friendly.

Uniting the rich organic produce of Provence with natural and ecological values, they create exquisite soaps with exceptional skin care properties. These scourers will have no problems replacing your disposable ones, they'll clean just as effectively and you'll feel great knowing that they contain zero plastic and are made from sustainably sourced, biodegradable coconut husks. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. This pack of two donut-shaped, biodegradable and highly durable multipurpose scourers is ideal for all your household cleaning needs!

They reinvest their profits into the business to create more sustainable products and increasing products made out of waste materials. The first wash will also allow for the true fabulous nature of the waffle to come to life maximising absorbency. We love this product because it’s so durable for all types of surfaces and washing up as well as being biodegradable. Can you in good conscience, continue to use plastic washing-up sponges that you know shed plastic microfibres down the drain?

We saw how amazing the idea of coconut fibre scourers in place of plastic ones were and decided to make our own! These coconut scourers are made from a waste product, so they bring new purpose to something that could easily have been discarded. Not only is it better then the scrub daddy when it comes to cleaning, i don't have to replace every two weeks and it's compostable! Our products are made with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified recycled Rubber tree's grown in a plantation and at the end of their life replanted and the wood used for our brush handles.
