About this deal

I have always thought Mrs Pringle with 'her leg' as added a nice slash of humour to the Fairacre books . Read more about the condition Very Good: A book that has been read and does not look new, but is in excellent condition. Learn nine essential ways to detox your mindset, feel lighter and more energised, to live a happier and more fulfilling life. Jillian Hamilton has masterfully interwoven the story of two very unique and spirited women who may have more in common than they both realize. Listening to the aunties, and the clinks and harrumphing growls, low and bassy, from the horseshoe men.

Eliminate negativity and change your life with best-selling author, happiness expert and life coach Domonique Bertolucci.Definitely not a thrilling, plotty story, but I was kept interested by the perceptive sketches of true-to-life characters and goings-on in a small town. In The Coldest Case: A Black Book Audio Drama, homicide detective Billy Harney sends his new partner, Kate, deep undercover in a notorious Chicago drug ring. I listened to this spirited book in audible, and while the narrator’s voice and accent were perfect for the time and place, the two first-person POVs of Cora and Amelia sounded identical to my ears, and could be confusing…who is talking? Pringle is a witty, fun, and engaging look at a woman thrown into hard times in Victorian London, the way she rises to fame, and the lessons she learns along the way. One thing that struck me was the mention of the Women’s Institute – after reading Jambusters, I know how formidable the WI is and I immediately grasped its importance in village life.

I love the witty banter between the characters, the story is just wonderful, it captures and ignites your imagination with its clever plot and dynamic characters. Pringle is the focus of this story, a difficult, but hardworking cleaning lady that maintains the village school. A wonderful historical fiction that will capture your attention right from the start and hold it all the way through to the satisfying end! All of this leads to a thoroughly satisfying ending, having dipped into a deliciously different reality for a while. Bringing their own unique and counter-balanced personalities to proceedings they ask questions such as: what is happiness?Cora must use every bit of her wit and guile to make ends meet, and becomes a nearly overnight sensation as a spiritualist medium. Within my role at English for Academic Study, I also support sanctuary students seeking access to the academy. Miss Read, the narrator, reflects on her first meeting as the somewhat nervous new schoolteacher, and gives the reader a picture of how the book will progress .

It is also the story of a reporter, Amelia Baxter, who is hot on Cora Pringle’s heels, determined to rip away the facade, no matter what the cost.Had I started a little earlier … ) and really didn’t want to put it down to cook dinner or to go to sleep with the little bit left but my eyes would not stay open. I was hooked with this book the moment I laid eyes on it – yes, I know never to judge a book by its cover, but come one when you are faced with a cover that is as strikingly beautiful as this one then why wouldn’t I want to read it? This story provides us with an entertaining, funny story told from different perspectives about two strong, determined women in a time where women were usually on the lower rungs of life.
