The Adidas Adipower 2 is one of the better-looking weightlifting shoes, especially compared to those that look bland like the Nike Romaleos 2s. That shouldn’t be too surprising, though––Adidas makes sporty looking shoes because, well, they make sports shoes. Cross-training shoes are a different story, and if you’re looking for a pair of training/weightlifting shoes that you can run in regularly, these are not them. These are on sale for 80 euros right now and I’m not sure if I should get them. I see the adipower 1 getting so much love here but nobody talks about the adipower 2. I’m currently using the power lift 4s and I’m really not happy with them, the heel height is not really that high and the shoe feels kind of cheap, but it’s the budget model so what can I expect. On the other hand, if you perform weightlifting or Crossfit from time to time, the lighter construction of the Powerlift 4 will better eliminate the drag you might experience with heavier shows during cleans, dynamic, snatches, thruster, etc. Support Straps and Laces Canvas upper: The plain-woven fabric brings the perfect amount of toughness, flexibility, and breathability. This makes for top-notch lifting performance. Like the Adipower II’s, the Power Perfect III’s have a heel cup for added stability. The heel cup feels more rigid on the Power Perfects, although this could also be due to having sturdier material on the exterior of the shoe. The Adidas Adipower 3 is an okay weightlifting shoe, but it leaves much to be desired. Outside of recreational lifting, I thought this model’s versatility was pretty sub-par, especially if you’re someone who wants a pair of lifters to wear for different exercises throughout particular CrossFit workouts. Adidas Adipower 3 Vs Adidas Powerlift 5On top of its stability for lifting, the Adipower 3 also has a fair amount of arch support. If you like arch support in your training shoes and weightlifting shoes, I could see this as an added plus to this model’s stability when training. If I had to compare this model to the original Adipower and the Adipower II, I’d say this model definitely gives me original Adipower vibes, which could be a good thing for folks like myself who loved the original model. Although I’ve never trained in the original Adipowers, I can see why some lifters feel that it is an inferior shoe.
