About this deal

Visits to our local Japanese or Chinese supermarket would sometimes result in the grand prize of a ten-pack box of Koala's March: "chocolate"-filled, vaguely koala-shaped, bite-sized cookies printed with one of a gabillion (ok, a few hundred) adorable koala characters.

As Koala’s March only uses the purest ingredients to make the best cookies, the filling inside these adorable crunchy cookies comes in many different flavours that taste uniquely different from one another.

This famous Japanese snack by Lotte is made with mini cookie shells that have koala prints and are filled with delicious cream filling! Ingredients List: Vanilla Flavour Cream (60%) [Palm Kernel Oil, Palm Oil, Fully Hydrogenated Rapeseed Oil, Sugar, Lactose(Milk), Whey Powder Demineralised (Milk), Skim Milk Powder, Emulsifier (E322 Soy)], Wheat Flour (19%), Corn Starch (6%), Shortening (5%), White Sugar (4%), Invert Sugar, Calcium Carbonate, Raising Agent (E503), Salt, Flavour (Vanilla), Colour (E150a), Raising Agent (E500), Flavour (Milk, Vanilla). Family She is supposed to have parents, who often travel around Australia and Europe, as well as sisters-but there is quite an age difference. I'm starting with Hello Panda because not only is it the oldest brand in this taste test, released by Meiji in Japan in 1979, it's also the clear winner. Please always read the labels, warnings, and directions provided with the product before using or consuming a product.

The filling comes in various flavors, such as honey, vanilla, cafe latte and banana including frozen banana. Let these cute Koalas guard your coins while adding a playful and unique accent to your surroundings.

The best part about each cookie is not only the creamy filling but also a special Koala character on the outside of the cookie. But currently, the snacks use the name "Koala's March" in the same country (a translation of the Japanese title).

This share pack contains 12 individual packets of yummy koala biscuits, the perfect size for a lunchbox or quick snack. Raising Agent (E503, E500), Salt, Flavouring (Cocoa, Vanilla), Colour (E150a), Emulsifier (E322 (Soybean)). The Japanese version does taste mildly better than the Thai one—the chocolate is less waxy and a bit more flavorful—but not better than the rest of the cookies in the taste test. We recommend that you do not solely rely on the information presented and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product, especially if you suffer from food allergies. Ingredients: Milk Chocolate Compound (Palm Oil, Sugar, Whole Milk Powder (Milk), Cocoa Powder, Cocoa mass, Lecithin (Soy), Flavouring (Vanilla))(60%), Wheat (Gluten), Corn Starch, Shortening, Sugar, Invert Sugar, Thickener (E170(i)), Leavening Agents ((E503(ii)), Salt, Raising Agent (E500(ii)), Colouring Agent (E150d), Artificial Flavouring: Milk, Vanilla, Nature Identical Flavouring: Cacao.

Recognised by Japanese children immediately, these milk chocolate filled bite-sized biscuits are shaped in the image of Lotte Koalas, complete with an individual print on the biscuit casing. Most of the Serious Eats tasters chose this as their favorite due to its soft, creamy filling and crumbly, sweet Ritz Cracker/Milano-like cookie (either ball-shaped or panda head-shaped).
