About this deal

This kind of fundraising event can only take place at sports venues under an occasional use notice (OUN). The OUN allows the licensed bookmaker to provide betting facilities at the sports venue for a short period of time. Before the race night The night so was so successful, that we have decided to do two a year to help raise money to pay for the expenses of running the children’s football team. Our next one will be in May to help pay for our awards night – and we’re hoping the weather will be kinder to us this time!!! There are always 8 runners per race to sponsor. The runners may be horses, piggies or doggies, depending on the type of event. (Just bear in mind that whatever you do, don’t sell the runners in an auction race. More on that later…) People can own as many runners as they like, and the sponsoring cost is up to you, but keep the sponsoring cost the same for every runner, and also have only one class of sponsor per runner, otherwise people get confused as to who owns what, and you’ll make things extremely difficult for yourselves. Please do let us know if you'd like to add your own content to your event, so we can plan how it will fit around the races. You may wish to consider if you'd like your guests to see the live "tote odds" on screen, and plan what will be on the screen at each point in your event. Follow these steps to make sure your content is seen at its best -
