About this deal

GREY GOOSE was created in 1997 by Sidney Frank and the brand’s Maître de Chai (Cellar Master), Francois Thibault. Initially soft with a gentle sweetness that gradually envelops the mouth, smooth and rounded texture with a hint of almond. The water used in Grey Goose is naturally filtered through underground limestone so deep it's untouched by pollutants. The company selected France due to the country's culinary history and it was to differentiate itself from other vodkas produced in Eastern Europe.

Grey Goose uses soft winter wheat, [8] sown in October and harvested in August, which provides it with four additional months of growth in comparison to summer wheat. Drinks will be chilled in 30-45 minutes and will be kept cold for several hours, especially if kept in the shade. Francois was inspired by his training as a cognac cellar master and created a vodka designed to express the true taste and character of the ingredients. Palate: INITIALLY SOFT WITH A GENTLE SWEETNESS THAT GRADUALLY ENVELOPS THE MOUTH—SMOOTH AND ROUNDED TEXTURE WITH A HINT OF ALMOND. He chose France to produce it from French wheat grown in and around Picardy to the north of Paris, which was then blended with spring water in the cognac region of France. However upstart Grey Goose has exploded past the competition from a paltry 50 000 cases in 1997 to 1.It's made from just two ingredients: single-origin Picardie winter wheat and natural spring water from Gensac-la-Pallue. Grey Goose Vodka is distilled from French wheat and is made with spring water from Gensac that is filtered through champagne limestone. A well draws water from an aquifer 500 feet beneath the ground, ensuring it has been untouched by human hands and pollution. Of all the vodkas sampled Grey Goose emerged victorious receiving 96 points out of a possible hundred and was awarded the only Platinum medal. From Cognac in France, this breakthrough wheat-based small-batch ultra-premium vodka has achieved global success and won a Platinum medal at the World Spirits Championship.

It was created in the 1990s by American businessman Sidney Frank, who sold it to the multinational company Bacardi [1] in 2004. A beautiful French vodka, Grey Goose Vodka is sublimely creamy and it's wonderful when served straight from the freezer. It is distilled in a column and then blended with the purest water that has been naturally filtered through Grande Champagne limestone in the Gensac springs. Nose is unabashedly smoky in the first nosings aeration smoothes it out as fetching aromas of mint harvested grain and grain husk assert themselves. This wheat is blended with natural spring water originating from an exclusive well in the Massif Central Mountains and distilled only once using a continuous-column distillation process, which ensures the quality of the wheat remains. During the distilling process, Grey Goose uses enzymes to break down carbohydrates into fermentable sugars. The company also developed its distinctive smoked glass bottle, featuring French geese in flight and delivered its product in wooden crates similar to wine.
