The album was described by Prog magazine as 'in a word, extraordinary' and is proving to be the band's most successful yet. This edition of 'Lightdark' is presented in digipack packaging complete with a 12-page booklet and has been newly remastered by Giancarlo Erra. Nosound's breakthrough release - recorded in Italy, England and the US throughout 2006 and 2007 - Lightdark developed further the promise of debut album Sol29 and exhibited a stronger group identity, revealing a greater contrast between atmospheric detail and the walls of sound created by the band on stage. Sol29" is one of my all time favourite recordings and I was counting on something similar, but this one is more ambient and less emotional for me.AT the 11;00 mark the vocals cut out and we are left with the fascinating cymbol play over the thick swirling synths and slow, well-spaced guitar strums. I had a chatwith Thomas Waber, the boss at InsideOut Music, about the idea of putting together a new band. We wrote fresh lyrics and have different people singing on the single CD version tracks as compared to those on the double CD. It begins, again, with floating keyboard synths and effects masterfully accompanying some heavily treated piano notes.
