It was published in the 90s, but this collection still offers wise advice for aspiring and practicing writers. 25. “The Lonely Voice: A Study of the Short Story” by Frank O’Connor words = standard nonfiction book / novella. The Great Gatsby is an example of this. Read time = three to four hours.
