By knowing where the reviewer's biases lie on the film's subject matter, one can read the review with the right mindset. With Fear, Disgust and Anger freaking out at the controls, the film could proceed down a goofy route with Riley going out of character. It certainly makes one want to watch the Japanese version, to see if the translated dialogue takes on the tone of the voiceover here. However, after a slight mishap at Headquarters, the situation gets out of hand, causing Riley's emotional state to worsen. of the 5 reviewers here to date were not overly impressed with this much-praised movie, and I tend to agree with them.

If you want to see where this presentation truly excels, it's in the hair and fuzz on the emotion characters.Although I found the hyper-bright colours visually tiring, but also, somehow, a bit disturbing, as if the film were trying to yell "Be happy! This film is loaded with challenging material, whether it's the glass memory balls or the detail of the memory archives. As I said, this film is going to work a lot better for older kids and adults as I'm sure the majority of young children aren't fully going to grasp the idea of emotions and how they effect our lives.

It’s a story that harkens back to Pixar’s method of storytelling for Toy Story, taking such a relatable aspect of childhood and blowing it up not just for humor, but for all the humanity it can exploit. Like all great Pixar films, Inside Out trafficks in humor, adventure and, most memorably, heart-wrenching emotion, the kind that's particularly difficult to deal with for anyone with a child of their own (especially if that child is a girl like Riley.Disney don't seem to be very good at presenting original ideas, with most of their films pinching there peoples ideas and storylines and this film is no exception! A fantasy insight into the workings of a child's mind when faced with change, I've watched it twice already. That said, there are some clever ideas here; I liked the memory-balls and the whole notion of a library of old recollections. The only element that feels a little too simple is Riley’s train of thought which is literally a train. A quick peek at some of the emotions cut from the movie gives way to an illustrated discuss of the design effort on the core characters.

What really amazes me about the studio is that they're actually just making adult movies that kids happen to enjoy because of the pretty characters on the screen.
