A smooth, powdery, beautifully blended and easy to like vanilla for teenagers and even people in their early 20s. It's almost too sweet but just treads the line, and projection and longevity are insane - I put it on yesterday evening and could smell it late into this morning. A warm woody-ambery accord along with rich black vanilla and a touch of alluring leathery musk completes the oriental character of the composition.

For me, this one is beyond beast mode and longevity compared to the other Mancera's that have the range of 8-12 hours. This has all-year potential the same way men can wear Layton or Ani all-year, and clearly it's not a dark scent in the slightest. They understand the markets and the readership we are dealing with, not to mention our exacting requirements which differentiate us from other businesses in our space. Still, it's a superb performer and many will no doubt like this fragrance a lot as a new type of vanilla in the line I've not smelled before, but surely Mancera and Montale have an abundance of vanilla offerings already.

Then romantic Bulgarian rose, Egyptian jasmine and delicate violet take over for the middle notes of the fragrance. Top notes of bergamot, white peach, coconut and blackcurrant offer an opening with warmth and sensuality. I cannot consider it unisex, sure anyone can wear it, but this fragance is whole Lady, no hint of a Gentleman/Sir ('traditional olfactory distinction'). A name like Violet Vanilla or Vanilla Peach would have fit this way better–not at all the sultry fragrance you would think with a fragrance descriptor like "black.Whether you are a man or a woman, you decide 100% yourself what fragrances you want to wear, this is just my personal opinion. Gave it a few more seconds and got a lot more fruit, then the violet which is what I assume gives it this powdery feel to it, then it settled into this lovely everyday scent that balanced the notes pretty well. When your hair has the right balance of moisture the rest just falls into place - manageability, shine, softness - no matter how dry, dull or brittle the hair.
