Sprites are formed by combining up to 4x4 tiles (32x32 pixel map) and selecting up to 16 colours (including transparent). If a bigger sprite is needed, then multiple sprites can be combined into one. Based on the latest revision of Street Fighter II, Turbo featured all the bonuses Champion Edition did but added new moves, outfits, and selectable speeds. If you wanted, you could even select the Champion Edition mode from the outset. In terms of expandability, this design wasn’t as modular as the NES or the SNES. Hence, later add-ons like the 32x (which included a new chipset that takes over the 68k) had to bypass the VDP (hence the need for the ‘Connector Cable’). Gamers were initially confused by the crash-landing of this unlikely alien duo, with poor sales threatening to bury this slice of creative genius.
One of my all time favourite books. Far far better than I ever could have imagined. It includes a great history of Mega Drive/Genesis and it's journey to the west (a huge turning point for Sega and gaming in general). It also includes tons of fantastic concept images, sprites, box art etc all printed with great detail. The book ends with a section printed on thinner paper hosting a wealth of incredible interviews printed with blue ink. significance of faith ( 15:6; see note there). More than half of Heb 11 -- a NT list of the faithful -- refers to characters in Genesis.
