About this deal

Display your iPod music library on your original car screen from your iPhone, iPad or iPod just like if it were plugged in. Hi everyone, this is my first post here outside the new members forum so fingers crossed this post is done correctly and apologies for the wall of text...

The issue I was having that affected both the invery and the bovee I think is iPhone specific - namely - it all works fine, phone calls go to the PCM, music goes to the adapter, but there is some interaction, and the music audio drops and sometimes the adapter resets and the car thinks the ipod went away - it's solved by disabling the Bluetooth phone side on the pcm - but then you lose that feature ( I don't use it often - but I like things to work as well as they can ) - so I went to a wired solution which works for iPhone with the right adapter but likely wouldn't work at all for Android) The Bovee is tempermental at best. Or in my case my car is tempermental. I don't know exactly how most of yours fail but in my car the car doesn't "see" the Bovee. I can't select iPod from the list of media options. Though my phone will happily connect to the Bovee and silently play music. wild guess based on some Experience and bit of understanding of how Bluetooth profiles work i would guess that android is always going to be “just sound“ when hooked up to the PCM 3 A plug-and-play wireless Bluetooth music adapter designed for car factory fitted iPod kits as well as aftermarket in-car iPod integrations. Instead of manually plugging the iPod into the connector every time you enter the car, you instead connect our device to the original iPod 30-pin connector. It is then left in the car permanently connected to the original iPod cable. Advanced wireless music technology powered by high quality CSR BlueCore5 Bluetooth module enables it to flawlessly communicate with Apple's iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Streams music from Android, Apple, and Windows devices. I'm normally pretty good with things like this, but I can't figure out how to connect an iPhone via the USB connector under the centre arm rest so I can play songs from it. Does anyone know if it is even possible? Car is 2012.

If you don't already have the Y Cable that gives the 30 pin "old style ipod" connector - you can also use something like this

Compatible with Audi AMI, Mercedes Media Interface and VW MDI or any other cars with the original or aftermarket iPod integration installed that has a 30 pin iPod connector . Supports Airplay and A2DP Bluetooth music streaming protocol What happens if a call comes in? Presumably because the phone is Bluetoothed to the adapter, it will no longer be linked to the car system. So although you may be able to hear the call, what microphone (if any) would work?Additionally, how do you make sure your phone links to the adapter instead of the car? Do you have to unpair the car? The tune2air is world-renowned for being the best adapter for plug and play bluetooth (A2DP) streaming music to iPod ready cars. Tired of not being able to stream music wireless to your car and fumbling with cables and old technology? With the plug and play tune2air bluetooth adapter streaming works as if factory fit. Simply choose the right connection for your model vehicles iPod integration port, plug in, and start enjoying the music! Normally, the IPOD menu next to HDD and DISC appears when a valid device is physically connected to the 30-pin plug. I got a Bovee 1000 and it still doesn’t appear (there is nothing to scroll to). Go into waze settings voice and sound (play sound output) device default will play through car speakers but sound is to quiet and when turned up the music is too loud so I have WAZE on play through phone speaker music fades and can hear directions through phone this is my set up. However, you MUST have an ipod interface already available on your car. Can’t plug into a usb connector as near as I can tell. I suggest not Bluetooth pairing the iPhone to the car when you are using this either. Only this connection.

Well, I finally upgraded my i-phone 8 to a 12. I have discovered that I no longer have to turn blue tooth off and on again to get the streaming to work. It sinks right up like it was supposed to right away. CarGurus UK Limited, c/o Legalinx Limited, 3rd Floor, 207 Regent St, London W1B 3HH, United Kingdom I tried the Bovee1000 in my 2014 458 with factory iPod (30 pin connector) and it worked with my iPhone X with no problem at all. According to a post on another forum, the version with part number 8E0857925G (or H for the RNS-E) was when Audi updated their tech and this happened around 2009, meaning my 2007 8E0857925C part would have the older connector. My issue is that the car typically doesn’t recognize the Bovee. The iPod word flashes and the controls cannot access that input.
