The AMT mics are worth the money, though. I still use their old Roam Elite, which is pretty ancient at this point, but the new line is called Quantum, and they're really excellent. My band uses AMT (a couple of AMT Q7-LS MINI and a AMT Quantum 7 Wireless System with mics) -- they're honestly overpriced, but arguably some of the best out there. So today’s lesson I’m recording for Sax School is the Leonard Cohen tune Hallelujah. Let’s have a listen to what sounds like. Our bari player has been using one of these for a couple of years and it´s been working well enough for him. It sounds ok and feels pretty robust, at least for the price. My main objections are the clip, which seems a bit wobbly (at least compared to my AKG), and the battery, which is replaceable but unfortunately not standard AA or AAA.
