I love that Summer is portrayed as a survivor and fighter it comes out in droves throughout the story and made her completely relatable to myself. A misunderstanding leads to Summer getting wrapped up in Mafia business (definitely nothing to do with the chemistry between her and Luc…). It’s interesting to see the families through her eyes – someone who is fully aware of the public image of the notorious bosses and their wives. She knows it’s dangerous to trust anyone, especially the Mafia. Although, I liked Summer she would fall last in my list of favourites among the wives. I understand her insecurities but I couldn't comprehend why she couldn't share all the details with everyone despite them accepting her open heartedly from first meeting. Max was shot and neither him or Lil blamed her for a second and they protected her. This is a simply wonderful book you will simply love this amazing story it is filled with all of the usual zeal and fortitude of the Bratva with all that they have been able to deal with, the characters and the plots are wonderfully written and I guarantee you will enjoy every moment. This is a standalone book in the Ruthless Dynasty world from Sasha Leone. If you have never read a Sasha Leone book then I am going to go ahead and tell you that you need to just go get this book and read it. You will not be disappointed at all. I have never read anything that has been by by Sasha Leone. I should also mention that this is a dark romance and you will want to heed the warning in the beginning of the book. My life as the commander of the Sokolov Bratva is all I've ever needed. It fill my days, sure, but it also fills me with purpose. Standing with my brothers and crating a legacy is everything I ever thought I'd want-until Inessa showed me what life really is. I can't drag her into this vicious orbit. I've seen firsthand the danger that can so easily come to those we love, and even though I'd die to protect her, she deserves a life where there's nothing to be protected from. First, I need to say that the warning at the start of this book is very misleading. I have read a lot of Sienna’s books and this is mild to most of them in the violence and nastiness people do to each other. There is a lot of sex but all fits the story being told. I almost did not read this book due to the warning. As the two are drawn deeper into the treacherous world of the mafia, their chemistry intensifies, igniting a passion that defies all odds. But Gabriel’s obsession with revenge and his plan to mold Bianca into a submissive figure add a sinister edge to their love story. The tension escalates as they navigate a dangerous game of power, betrayal, and desire. Safety- both H/h feel some mild jealousy in the book but it’s minor. The h in the next book (Roz) was supposed to marry this H but they only ever had a platonic sibling type feelings for one another. I actually REALLY disliked Roz so I’m not sure if I’ll read the next book. I almost DNF’d when I discovered it’s a misplaced revenge story. I primarily read dark romance with heavy leaning toward both mafia and bully tropes so misplaced revenge comes up often in my reading. Honestly, I’m a bit tired of it. That’s on me though, I chose to continue reading so I promised myself I wouldn’t let it mess with my rating or review. Sienna weaves amazing stories giving each brother their time to shine as well as let the women that can bring them to their knees shine like diamonds. These brothers are ruthless and fearless when it comes to their women and those said women love and fight for them just as hard.Andrei is the Commander of the Sokolov Bratva and is part of the team looking for Annika. When they find and rescue her, they make a point of showing no mercy to the person that kidnapped her. Inessa has grown up around the family because her mom is their private chef. Inessa is studying psychology and she is a people watcher. This has her watching the family and making notes. She is drawn to Andrei but doesn't think he is interested in her. She goes out to a club with some friends and when things go sideways Andrei rescues her. Its not long before things heat up between them. Inessa has been having some issues with a man in charge of the lab at school and Andrei has warned him away once. However, he is obsessed with her and tries again. Just as Andrei and Inessa are starting to look to the future another twist happens and Inessa is taken. Will they be able to find her? Will they get their chance at a happy ending.
