About this deal

The low mass coil and diaphragm assembly produce a transient performance equalled only by electrostatic earphones, and, in combination with a carefully tailored frequency response, offer a natural and balanced sound. Low tones are really tight and clear. There is no mud, it extremely clean. Own stays in its place and does not overshadow other sounds. These are my 3rd Beyerdynamic product - DT 770 Pro 250, A200p and now DT 770 Pro 32. No doubt, these are one of the best monitor headphones I have used for the price. I do use Marshall Monitor and B&W P7 while traveling. I use DT770 Pros with Schitt Magni on desktop with Garageband. I've been looking for a set of studio cans for a while, and have always heard amazing things about the 770s, 880s, and 990s. Initially I was having a hard time figuring out which one of those would be best for me. I wanted a pair of headphones that I could simultaneously record with (meaning, with minimal spill), and that I could mix and master with.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 ohm Limited Edition Professional

The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro headphones have established themselves as a firm favourite amongst music producers, sound engineers and broadcasters and are used in studios all over the world. Features & Specifications Of The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250The PRO models (DT 770 PRO, DT 880 PRO, DT 990 PRO) are designed for professional applications, e.g. in the recording studio. The Edition models are suitable for use at home on the stereo system. As goes the headphones, I rate them five stars in every respect taking into account their budget price. I also own Amiron Homes, which certainly sound a little better but which don’t quite fit my head as perfectly as the 770s, and I have a pair of 880 250ohms which I think have a significantly different sound signature from the 770s (very precise but understated bass and a gauzy, delicate treble). I am not a fan of closed headphones per se, but sometimes it is the only politic choice when wearing them around the house, and the 770s are the only such headphones I have so far found that I really enjoy the sound of and find comfortable when wearing for long periods. I find that the 80 ohm 770s work well on any device and yet they still benefit from dedicated amplification (which in my case comes in the form of a couple of Little Dot Mk 2 head amps in a couple of different systems. For my 250 ohm headphones these Little Dots are essential). We will take a brief look at the DTT Pro 80 and ATH- M50x headphones and see how they hold up against the Beyerdynamic Pro DT 770 Pro 250. Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 vs 250 SOUND: Overall very clear sound with wide stereo image. I find them especially good for rough mixes because of the wide stereo image. Bass is clear and tight, no mud and mush in the low end, which is exceptional at this price level. Mids are well defined and clear. Highs are very nice, but kind of soft, so you will want to take that into consideration while mixing. Most other headphones and monitors will sound brighter and crispier. I personally prefer the tamed highs on DT770, since they allow me to listen for longer, without as much ear fatigue. This is totally a personal preference though. Just so there is no confusion: you can hear all the highs properly (at least in my hearing range, which is up to 17.5 kHz).

The DT 770 250 ohm is better for mixing, mastering, reference, and critical listening situations. It has a better soundstage, more detail and more clarity for the studio environment. The DT 80 ohm might be better for a casual and studio environment. In conclusion, I love this headphone for everything. Mixing/mastering [closed design isolates well, won't hear street noises & children playing, I can always focus on my mix/master]; monitoring instruments, sound design, critical listening, watching movies, and playing games. Also great for enjoying ASMR, or voice/video-calls, just make sure you have an good headphone preamp to drive the 250ohm to get enough gain/volume. For mixing and mastering in the studio, open headphones are often used because of the better spatial representation. Our portfolio includes the DT 880 PRO, the DT 990 PRO, the DT 900 PRO X and the DT 1990 PRO. These headphones are for monitoring and you realise straight away why they have been in production for the last several decades. The sound is crystal clear, soundstage is extremely wide and imaging is just terrific. Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 are closed studio headphones like their cousin the DT 770 Pro 250. With an impedance of 80 ohms, the DT 770 80 provides similar professional-quality sound for critical listening applications. With a similar frequency response of 5 Hz-35kHz, the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 also has a stronger bass response than the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250. Prominent Bass Presence vs Critical Listening

Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO - 250 OHM LE DT 770 Pro 250 ohm

I use the RME Babyface Pro Fs, more than enough gain. But on my samsung phone max volume is about 70%-80% of what I would prefer as ideal. It's okay, not bad, but I'd recommend an headphone preamp if you want to drive the 250ohm version just from phone. So yeah the Pro's: Mix/master translates well, great subwoofer clarity to make confident mix/master decisions on for the low end. Music mixed on these translates well to other systems. Also great for critical listening, referencing music & sound design. Accuracy & translation is great on these, but note the stereowidth, bit narrow sound width due to the closed design. On top of that the comfort and the overall mechanical design was increased and a removable XLR cable was added that can be swapped out depending on what you’re doing. +Which ist the best headphone for mixing and mastering? Headphone fits comfortably on your head, does not cause sweating thanks to soft velvet pillows and does not wring your ears. For closure, I run these headphones through Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen audio interface and you achieve the "medium-to-high" volume at 60% of the knob-turn. At 100%, you can listen to it, but that's just blazing and a bit too loud. First things first, this is not a set of “muddy” headphones, or whatever words people like to use when describing sound they don’t like. You have to power it correctly. If you know that your computer or phone can handle it, the DT 770 PRO can handle pretty much anything you throw at it, but you need to know that they have a very strong emphasis in the highest notes which can get a little grating after a while. This simply means that the emphasis in anything that goes through them tends to favor the highest notes over all else. Lows, mids, and highs
