About this deal
I did think about having a page about it, but I could never keep it updated so I’ll post it up occasionally just to update things. I never personally had a problem with it though; I’m now just extra careful and try not to get it on my skin. And because I hate closing a section without having said something positive: It does kill all kinds of makeup. If you were to look at my skincare shelves, you could expect to see an array of high-end, luxury products. And while this might be true with purely organic cleansing butters, I’m not convinced that it also applies to this one; I rather have the feeling that the smooth sensation that you get afterwards comes from ethylhexyl palmitate, which, as I said, is a substitute for silicones, which have a similar effect in non-natural skincare. I suppose I rather expected a little more or maybe I was spoilt by the truly sumptuous textured Antipodes Grapeseed Butter Cleanser. One more thing: the water used in cosmetics is purified and deionized (it means that almost all of the mineral ions inside it is removed). At the same time, it also boosts the effectiveness of other preservatives, such as the nowadays super commonly used phenoxyethanol. As mentioned above, I rarely use it to remove foundation etc, I mainly use it for mascara as I am conscious about putting anything oily on my skin.
I would definitely recommend the cleansing butter, it removed my make up with ease and left my skin feeling really soft and smooth without any visible dry patches, which when your skin is as dry as mine is at the moment is brilliant, as I said my skin is very dry and it is also dehydrated but the cleansing butter is suitable for all skin types. Hence my decision to upgrade, after reading ALL your posts on cleansing and discovering what’s available). Try our bestselling cleansing balm, Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter to wipe the away impurities. it is a lovely product and one I will continue to repurchase, and I would go as far to say that this will be replacing my beloved Clinique take the day off balm which until now I had been using for a very long time.
It’s a truly outstanding makeup remover that left my skin feeling good, but I don’t want to run the risk of over-irritating my skin with fragrance, so I will have to drop it.
