About this deal

Fabulous accompaniment to dark chocolate, but can also be enjoyed alone as a dessert in its own right. Powerful nutty aromas combined with dried fruits and a hint of orange peel, exquisitely mellowed through wood ageing.

The Perfect Balance: This is a Port perfected over 20 years to delight those in pursuit of excellence, capturing the perfect balance between young and aged Port wines. Wir haben den Wein "vor Ort" bei Grahams in Porto probiert und uns mit der Flasche ein paar nette Urlaubserinnerungen zurückgeholt. They mention that its not too sweet or brandy-like, has a much greater depth and variety of flavours, and is a well-presented gift. If you stay in a Douro Quinta you are more than likely to find a bottle or two of this in the fridge.Lying across the mouth of theTagus river, the Península de Setúbal is a flat, sandy region with the exception of the Serra da Arrábida a short chain of mountains with clay and limestone soils. The grapes that are used to make Port must be grown in the mountainous Upper Douro region of Northern Portugal, the world’s first officially demarcated wine region in 1756. For over two centuries, Dow’s has been synonymous with the finest examples of Port from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley.

One of our responsibilities is to ensure we do not sell age-restricted products online to people who are under the minimum legal age. The Douro is one of the wildest, most mountainous and rugged wine regions of Portugal, cut through in deep twists.

Fermentation takes place in vats (lagares) at a controlled temperature until it reaches the right degree of sweetness (baum). Although there is an enormous variety of different terroirs within the Douro Valley, this is essentially a sparsely populated, hot, arid region where grapes are grown on spectacularly steep terraced slopes. Today, with three quintas in the best winemaking areas of the Douro Demarcated Region, Poças ensures its total control over the quality of its wines and the family is more involved than ever before.

Ayant testé plusieurs variétés de porto Graham’s, du simple Tawny au 30 ans, en passant par le 10 ans, celui-ci (20 ans) est incontestablement le meilleur à mon goût et du coup le meilleur en termes de qualité prix. It represents the culmination of patience, skill, and time, resulting in a wine of unparalleled elegance and sophistication. A reluctance to follow trends and plant international grapes is now paying dividends and the new breed of full-blooded, fruit-filled wines are more than able to compete on the world stage. The extremely intense aromas and flavours are reminiscent of toasted vanilla and dried fruits, with delicate hints of oak.On the palate it is rich and smooth yet perfectly balanced, with notes of dried berry fruits, nuts and woody spices. From cool, green Galicia and the snow-capped Pyrenees in the north, via the parched central plateau, to sandy, sunny Andalucia in the south, the Spanish landscape is very diverse.
