About this deal

In 2009, after her husband died following a short illness, Patricia had to retire from her job and found that writing helped her cope through her grief. Lottie is a safe bet between her existential crisis, her family drama and her passion for her profession, she always grabs me and leaves me wanting more. Book 6 was the first in the series that I felt wobbled a bit in balance and quality(although I still enjoyed it) but I’m glad to report she is back on form here. Normally this works well but in this novel she comes off as neurotic and controlling with more than one character telling her that it’s not all about her.

In her heart she knows that she gets things wrong and often gets overly immersed in cases, but she doesn't deserve the way the family have behaved in parts of this novel, although I worried for Sean.

On arriving at any crime scene, DI Parker is extremely impatient, but that’s merely her professional desire to get right on with a case - no time to waste - as well she knows, the first 48 hours in a case are crucial. I'm curious to see how she'll react after her relapse and if Boyd's revelation will serve to open up her eyes and change for the better her relationship with him. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. This is my all-time favourite series… if you haven’t read Patricia yet you’re in for a treat as you have 7 books to read.

Luckily, Lottie's family is not involved with the investigation this time but her staff keeps her on her toes.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. A great storyline with all the usual twists and turns we expect from Patricia's writing but a few red herrings in there. But the simple fact that they care about the others physical and mental well being makes them the most gentle souls ever. It’s just that, I don’t feel like this is RAW enough, REAL enough for what this book is trying to do. Love it even more now, on re-watches things that didn't quite make sense at first are clearer and things that were not noticed or appreciated before are and much admired.

Read what everybody is saying about Broken Souls: 'Brilliant as always and totally addictive and I loved it! I have read each book in the series and after careful consideration believe it's the most compelling so far. Wow this album is definitely another complete masterpiece from Distant Dream, and this album art is so gorgeous ! The body of a young woman, dressed in a wedding gown, is found hanging in her bathroom – Lottie Parker is not convinced it is a suicide.Lottie fears there is a serial killer about and when Lottie goes and tells the next of kin of death, they find out that her daughter Lily is missing. That's used to get them back together after they supposedly both work on themselves (we get hints that it's happening but again, we don't see it happen).
