And you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans. I was raised as a Christian and though I did have some questions/challenges as a teenager, I was not the firm agnostic/atheist back then that I am today. I defiantly underestimated how good anthologies are as they are short stories put in a collection, which are usually categorised. Instead, this book is full of teens sharing their experiences on learning to accept like, becoming the best person you can be, being happy with who you are, and loving yourself - no matter what. She finally cornered me in the hall one day and demanded an explanation, so I swore I’d meet her after school.Feelings are defenitely explained thoroughly, making the book even more exciting and inspiring to read. Although each story was written in a different style, and a different author, it still included the basic components of the literature devices.
This book, like its predecessor, can be your guide-- a beacon in the darkness, a safe haven in a storm, a warm hug in the cold and a respite from loneliness. So I went over and stole the book and started reading (and then she bit me and now every full sun I turn into a dove) and it was missing pages 226-229 so I don't know what happened to that girl who got hit by a car. This carefully formulated batch of "Chicken Soup" guides teenagers through one of the most difficult periods in life.
