It is not pretty (though she herself is, and she shines like a beacon) and her story can be disconcerting in places. I started the book the day before a number of flights home, I missed the inflight meals, movies etc. The book does not always follow the more chronological format often seen in autobiographies, but rather each chapter relates to a particular aspect of Sandra’s rich and varied life.
