It suddenly sank in that this woman who wants to be respected in the literary world is a plain and simple ho. According to Essence Magazine editor Michaela Angela Davis, Steffans is reaching people "who may have dismissed earlier protests against rap's misogyny". The writing style or the lack there of, is so juvenile I really have no idea how this thing was published.

Or maybe it was the bad writing and the narcissistic undertone that kept me from caring at all about this woman's story. Since Confessions debuted on June 28, 2005, Karrine and her enthralling story has been on the lips and minds of most everyone. It's what i said first: the instant feelings of "love" (often in overlapping time frames), the surprise the boys wouldn't feel the same way or would disrespect her, etc. The Vixen Diaries, published by Grand Central Publishing/Hachette Book Group USA (formerly Warner Books), entered The New York Times Best Seller's list at number six in the fall of 2007. Part tell-all, part cautionary tale, this emotionally charged memoir from a former video vixen nicknamed 'Superhead' goes beyond the glamour of celebrity to reveal the inner workings of the hip-hop dancer industry-from the physical and emotional abuse that's rampant in the industry, and which marked her own life-to the excessive use of drugs, sex and bling.

Every time she has sex with someone she talks about their bodies/lips "pressing together" or "sealing together. Even more distasteful is her plaintive chapter-long namedrop of the late Merlin Santana, whom I omitted from the above list out of respect: R. The book itself is horribly written - from the poor sentencing and paragraphing it was almost hard to believe the book was published this way, but i understand that the story was too juicy and scandalous to pass up. When she leaves her infant son in his car seat on the ground in her abusive ex-husband's parking lot and moves to LA; all of this takes place right after the husband beat her so badly that she bled all over the baby. The people of Japan believe that everyone has an ikigai - a reason for being; the thing that gets you out of bed each morning.

Among many other media outlets Paula Zahn, Donny Deutsch, Tyra Banks, Bill O'Reilly, Geraldo Rivera, Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb,and the queen of daytime herself, Oprah Winfrey have sought Karrine and helped propel her into the limelight and even contributed satirical editorial to HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher. The psychology of her experiences in this book is sound, including the little details she mentions and that's what makes it so believable.

When she did name the things she did wrong I feel like she always found a way to justify or excuse her actions. stay close to your daughters and show them all the love you can show them because if not you might have a daughter or daughters like Karrine.
