About this deal

In the epilogue, Lily, who is co-parenting with Ryle, finds Atlas and tells him that she is ready to restart her relationship with him. characters who spend literally no time bonding (except atlas and lily), and the only "bonding" scenes is mating? She stays with Atlas for a few days while Ryle leaves the country for a fellowship, and eventually moves back home while Ryle is still out of the country.

introspective paragraphs, 0 memories or possibilities shared to the reader by the character, 0 contemplation before making any decision. As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan―her first love and a link to the past she left behind. Her strength, her compassion, and her ability to remain strong throughout the story kept me invested. Her transparency and openness about her own struggles and experiences further endear her to readers, creating a bond that goes beyond the written word.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Colleen Hoover, the New York Times bestselling author, weaves her magic once again, delivering stories that will tug at your heartstrings and stay with you long after you've turned the last page. On the bright side, I have to admit the writing style was quite easy to follow, and I ended up finishing the entire book in just two days. After 24 hours, Preview readers will be randomly selected from the pool of those who expressed interest in receiving and reviewing a free advance copy of the specified book. This book deals with domestic violence and honestly, it’s one of my favourite reads so far the writing, the characters just everything about it I loved.

Full disclaimer, I know full well that I cannot play a 17 year old, but I wanted to do this audition for funsies because I loved the book so much and cannot wait for the film! Meet Lily Bloom, a young woman determined to break free from the cycle of abuse she witnessed as a child. After giving birth, Lily realizes she does not want her daughter to grow up witnessing Ryle's aggressive outbursts, and tells him she wants a divorce. My overall thoughts are that this book is far from perfect, indeed there were parts that really grated on my nerves, however, despite its flaws, its overall message was really strong, and resonated even more after reading the author's note at the end. Since then, Hoover has become a prolific author, captivating readers with her unique storytelling style and ability to evoke raw emotions. As such I often found myself irritated at the chapters that focused on Lily and Ryle's developing relationship and when they're all loved up, as the tone just wasn't really for me, and to be honest was a bit cringey.

We also learn that her mother suffered dreadful abuse at the hands of her father and while her father never lifted a finger against his daughter it has left Lily scarred. As Colleen points out many times in the book, from the outside it seems such a simple and straightforward matter, that if you are in an abusive relationship you walk away from it. I did not also expect to feel scammed by Tiktok over this highly popular book which so many people- to this day- make constant posts about how it's their favorite book.

Word-of-mouth spread like wildfire, propelling Hoover into the literary spotlight and establishing her as a force to be reckoned with. Beyond her captivating storytelling, Hoover's success can be attributed to her genuine connection with her readers. I don't care how much she loved him, or how much of their future she saw(which the author didn't mention one bit of, 0% explanation of show writing and 10000% of just telling-"oh she loved him, so if you disapprove, you're standing on the outside, you don't understand". While dining at a restaurant where Atlas works, Lily reconnects with him, making Ryle instantly jealous despite her insistence that Atlas is only a friend.

She also became a bit of a tiktok darling during Covid (when people were all over social media not being able to do real socialising) which boosted her sales still further. Não é um romance clichê e quem se deixa enganar pela capa rosinha, é porque não viu a simbologia da flor despedaçada. In contrast the chapters we have that focus on Lily as a teenager and her relationship with Atlas I loved. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up―she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan — her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He then confesses that he accidentally shot and killed his brother Emerson as a child, resulting in trauma that causes him to have rage-filled episodes.
