There have been some changes in North America, though, with early access Home Premier digital rental also being accompanied by a purchase option much higher that at the later date. The finale of the blockbuster dino-franchise, while bringing back some much-welcomed familiar faces, ignores all the interesting set-up of the previous entry and falls back on tired old storytelling tropes, reliant on some admittedly extraordinary set pieces and little else.

It's a watchable film, but it is also deeply flawed, overlong, and frankly not all that interesting. As if things couldn't get better, the home release includes an extended version of Jurassic World Dominion, meaning 14 extra minutes of dinosaur battles and motorcycle chases through the cobbled streets of Malta. This track hits all the right marks for dialog, scoring, and sound effects to keep an active and engaging soundscape rolling throughout the show. Where ‘Jurassic Park’s’ slow-burn and grand reveals had awe in abundance, this has none – there is nothing here you haven’t seen multiple times before.

EXTENDED VERSION – An extended cut of the film with 14 minutes of additional footage featuring more dinosaurs, action, iconic character moments and an alternate opening. Cinematographer John Schwartzman shot the movie with a combination of 35mm film, 65mm film, and VistaVision. Included are Together for the First Time (5:26) which looks at the meeting of the new and legacy casts.

It wasn't 1993's Jurassic Park - hell nothing has come close - but it was a fun effort, leading to a whole new trilogy which, again much like the Star Wars features, struggled with not knowing where the hell it was going. the creatures are insanely complex and their interactions within the environment are second-to-none. The feature was hoping to reignite interest in the world of dinosaurs and DNA headaches, to see if viewers were still open to watch CGI-laden chaos featuring fearsome beasts.
