Upgrade options include a sturdy aluminum frame and a hot-swappable circuit board (for the uninitiated, hot-swappable mechanical keyboards allow you to remove and replace the keyswitches on your keyboard any time for an additional level of customization). Either you can use the palm rest you have already, also if it’s full size, or you can get a new one from Keychron.

The keys are easy to change with the bundled in keycap puller, the RGB looks nice (although I barely have this on) and the weightfeel of the keyboard is solid with the aluminum with no flex. UPDATE: I found that although the keyboard came with the Mac keyset installed, the switch on the left side of the keyboard was set to `WindowsAndroid`. I also own a Logitch K380, which is slim, compact, portable, lightweight, and also connects to up to three devices.

Overall, this is a lovely and compact keyboard, and those minor niggles don't budge it from five stars. Luke 07/10/2020After using the Apple Magic Keyboard for the last 6 months of WFH, all I can say this keyboard is a dream to type on. The full-size keys on this make that a thing of the past and the width keeps my mouse arm pretty straight - reducing strain in the elbow and bicep. In the manual, they recommend Karabiner for macOS and SharpKeys for Windows, but we don't test for these programs. Offers a Mac layout while still being compatible with Windows, the K2 Pro is one of the few on the market that has the same multimedia and function key functions as Apple keyboards for Mac users, but with more tactile feedback.

The Keychron K2 can be used with a USB or Bluetooth device interface, providing versatility for various setups. I had 3 mechanical keyboards prior to this one and all of them exhibited double input behavior, so I'm happy to finally find a keyboard that doesn't do that. I'm using this with the maximum elevation at the back, and have turned off all the lighting effects.The slightly larger format than a 60% keyboard with all the additional function keys, media keys and a full separate set of arrow keys make this extremely easy to use vs other 60% keyboards I've used in the past. Check out the video above demonstrating how to remap the Light Effect key (located on the K2 Pro’s top right corner) to an Eject key with the VIA software, so you can get a shortcut to put your Mac to sleep (Command-Option-Eject), or even remap the fn key in a breeze.

Well, during my time with the K2 V2, I pretty much used it with the backlight turned on, and it lasted me somewhere around 2. While K2's wired latency is marginally worst than the K1, its Bluetooth latency is significantly better. Plus the brown switches are great, the lighting is superior as I can see all the special characters whereas on the logitech the lighting only illuminates the main letters and numbers. If you’re still not convinced then, you need to try out my MacBook’s keyboard because then only you’ll understand the value of a good keyboard.

I love how much space there is on my table because this is a smaller keyboard than one with the numeric pad built in. Its also nice to find a good quality UK layout instead of a US one that most mech-keyboard companies make, though it makes it a pain to find proper uk key caps. The Keychron has RGB backlighting, and while the version of the ROYAL KLUDGE that we tested has blue backlighting, there's an RGB variant.

I’ve been using this both with my Apple devices for personal use and my Windows work computer and it has been such a great typing experience (I have the blue switches). I'm a software developer, and have found that this keyboard is the perfect balance of being compact in size but still providing all the keys required for writing code efficiently (home end, arrow keys, delete). I think one of the reviews here mentions that the keyboard is the same grey for all the keys (not sure if that is a previous version) but the uk layout k2v2 features the orange keys, dark grey keys and light grey keys exactly as pictured. Furthermore i have got the Gateron brown switches, feels like smooth and glides on gaming, Switchin from Blue it really makes a difference. The minimalistic design of the K2 V2 complements the MacBook and adds an elegant touch to my work setup (I don’t have a work setup, but it would be a great addition to yours).The K2 is available with white backlighting or RGB backlighting, and it's available with Gateron Red, Blue, or Brown switches.
