About this deal

Opening the buckle can be done with two fingers, and all the pieces fit together intuitively and smoothly. It is extendable, with a UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) rating of 50+ and a built-in sun visor.

Additionally, the Techno XT comes with a unique sovereign lifetime warranty which lasts as long as you have a need for the pushchair, covering all your children. Newborn up to 25kg , UPF 50+ extendable waterproof hood, single handle, reclining seat, wheels suspension. The other problem I have is with the harness; I find it very difficult to clip together, that could just be me, but there is certainly a knack to it which I don’t have. I’ve tested a lot of umbrella strollers and Techno XT is one lever above all of other umbrella strollers when it comes to maneuverability and terrain handling. What sets it apart from other strollers is the fold down hood that covers baby in the cold or sun, I never needed a parasol and is brilliant for when baby is sleeping.

I bought my Maclaren Techno XT as a companion to my Bugaboo Cameleon (see separate review) and it has been fantastic from day one. If pushed, I can just fold the buggy down with one hand while balancing my four-month-old Noah on the hip.My daughter slept really well in this when out and about thanks to the large hood and ability to fully recline it. It's much more stylish, and far better quality than both other strollers I looked at, and ones that friends have bought. The linked foot-operated parking brakes on the Maclaren Techno XT stroller are a standard safety feature.

Suitable from birth, it fits in the car, umbrella folds so it doesn’t take up the whole hallway, it’s comfortable for even the sturdiest three and a half year old. Still, the Techno also has divided pockets on the back of the canopy (above right) for additional storage of quick-access items you can still reach when the baby is napping. As a childminder I have also got the twin side by side and that is a bonus because it does not matter what age children are in it, it pushes great. The pushchair has a, clever see-through UV sun shield, great for a protected view, with a brilliantly sized hood designed to allow for a peaceful nap, safe from the sun.The stroller has a lock clip on one side for ease of carrying, although a lock on both sides might have been more secure, as it does feel a little awkward like it might pop open. The Techno XT comes with a carry handle as opposed to a shoulder strap, which means you’ll only have one hand free when toting it around. There’s nothing better than looking at your baby rear facing in those first months, which would prove difficult in this front facing pushchair. While the trademark umbrella fold has been copied by hundreds of other lightweights, Maclaren’s quality, added features and durability keep this buggy a step ahead of the rest.

It doesn't hurt them to have that refles but it really disturbes their sleep and my almost sole purpose for going out with the pram was to get mine to sleep, well, whether we went out with that intention or not they always did. In my opinion, unless you need the buggy to be suitable from birth then it's not worth paying the extra for the Techno.Their Maclaren Techno XT is everything you'd expect from a classic umbrella stroller and more, with numerous features including height-adjustable handles, a peek-a-boo window and an extendable sun visor.
