And according to the residents of the Japanese island of Okinawa - the world's longest-living people - finding it is the key to a longer and more fulfilled life. Any story, any presentation, should have a backgrounder of sort – this is what this novel is lacking.I couldn`t relate to any of them and Maggie was completely off her trolley or would that be `Up a gum tree? Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Still, each earns their moment of tragic dignity, and Walters never fails to allow pity where pity is due. Random House presents the audiobook edition of Ikigai by Héctor García and Francesc Miralles, read by Noako Mori. Cruelly funny, while remaining poignant, is the scene where Cissy grips Helena in a bear hug, sincerely believing the friends to have reached a glorious oneness of soul.
