Familiar weapons from Toybox, the Tommy Gun, the Hammer and the Mines are rebranded as Nerf products, while countless Nerf guns litter the tracks and arenas. Each of the 12 vehicles has its own unique loadout of weapons and abilities and the game will launch with a massive range of customisation options. Hero shooters work thanks to their objective-based gameplay and having teams work out which classes work best together to overcome the opposing team. We had a quick go of the Battle mode, perhaps this adds something else to the game, I dunno, we didn't play it long enough for me to give fair comment but it's not the reason I bought MM World Series.

Meanwhile, Team Play lets you work together using your vehicles' unique skills with modes such as 'King of the Hill' or 'Capture the Flag'! Much like the race tracks, these arenas take place in familiar, over-sized household locations, but instead of being full loops they sport non-linear layouts with multiple routes around them that include handy shortcuts in the form of ramps, spring boards and even remote controlled drones.With the emphasis here firmly fixed on Battle Mode, fan favourites like Elimination mode and the standard races play second fiddle and feel like afterthoughts. There are some positives in that during a close race when no one is pulling away, the screen zooms in so that you only need to be leading a small amount to get the win; stops things dragging on, which is a good thing for this game.
