The fragrance opens up with notes of lime, orange and Sicilian lemon, followed by a heart of mint, basil, marjoram and thyme, before drying down on a base of spices, cedar, oakmoss and cardamom. Unlike most of the other citron notes showing up giving you "fresh" and gone, Citron citron actually "invites" you to stay and calm down to enjoy the evolution of notes. Agreed with reviewers, who note that Citronx2 leans slightly masculine, and the supporting mint-family, woods, oakmoss, and cardamom make a spectacular composition. In fact, I don't know why, may be it is my skin, but from the beginning to end, it smells almost identical. Long lasting freshness is brought to the fragrance through unexpected herbal notes of cool mint and anise-like basil, whilst a crisp, dry background of green moss, Moroccan cedar and cardamom provide a deep and sensual warmth.Citron Citron resembles to my nose to Aqua Allegoria’s Herba Fresca: a fresh, crisp, light, bright, uplifting scent. Based on the fragrance notes, I would have expected a perfume in the style of Goutal's Eau du Sud or Aeroplane by Detaille, but in my perception Citron Citron is mainly candied lemon - probably an effect of the sweet lime combined with the other citrus notes. I got a sample of this and decided to give it a try, and it turns out really distinctive and intriguing. I find i am using this for causal social occasions during the day, but stick on the Amouage for a good night hitter. The feeling this scent gives me is one of walking into a lush garden filled with greenery and aromatic herbs on a spring morning after it rained. This particular product is suited to a wide range of users, and we found during our extensive trial that it performed very highly in all of our Fragrance tests.
The fragrance opens with zesty lemons, oranges and limes that yank you out of sleepiness, moodiness or stagnancy and buoy things up. Just boils away after 45 minutes max to an even briefer encounter with some nice, slightly-spicy, very discreet cedar for maybe another quarter to half hour.
Multifaceted with depth and longevity, it is a fragrance that captures the bright and sunny aura of citrus fruits. This can be used to look up the product at a local retailer in your home country, as this number is unique to this product all over the European union. Longevity is nearly decent, about 3-4 hours, sillage is intimate, best skin scent in the genre of freshies.
