About this deal

Does anyone else have one of these dongles and have a similar story, or does your phone charge as it should?

I've done a variety of journeys over the weekend and yesterday and been able to give the Carsifi a real good test. I could leave the device dangling and lay it down under the passenger seat or use the included adhesive pad to position it somewhere on the dash. To do so, you have to put it back to factory settings through a series of button presses where the LED changes color to indicate its status. As I frequently have problems connecting Android Auto with cable (keeps cutting out and in when first plugged in) I'm wondering about one of the wireless dongles on market.

Adapter compatibility depends on the automaker's specific implementation of USB and Android Auto; contact your vehicle manufacturer if you are unsure. This makes it easy to get several features like maps, media, and message notifications on your car’s display. There are plenty out there that have them — yet also force you to plug in to use Android Auto, which charges the phone at the same time anyway.

I notice some reviews claim there's quite a drain on the phone battery, have you seen any evidence of that? First released at the beginning of the year, the Motorola MA1 is a simple gadget that plugs into your (Android Auto-compatible) car’s USB port and pairs over Bluetooth to your phone. I'm pretty sure I read that the US Tucson has wireless AA, I'm not sure about the screen size, I just assumed it would be on the 10. I didn't see any other makes when I was looking (there was one other that isn't available - think it was a croud fund thingy). I have a similar Dongle but iPhone and when I’m using the it wirelessly it disconnects from the wireless charging pad and the reason is the phone over heats and gets hot because it’s connecting wirelessly through the dongle and there must be a safety setting in the car to disconnect.

I also bring up software and troubleshooting because it's hard to know what to do to fix anything that might come up, or even if the MA1 is responsible. Especially when you remember that wireless connections don’t offer the same recharging capabilities as hardwiring. A community for Android Auto users, including those on OEM and aftermarket head units and all phones accommodating the Android Auto app.

With the Motorola MA1 there are no wires, no fuss, just a seamless connection to Android Auto™ to safely access the apps that you need and be on your way.Wireless Android Auto is a convenient feature, and judging by the popularity of the Motorola MA1 and AAWireless, it’s also something a whole lot of people want to get their hands on. Alternatively, you can always go wired if the MA1 doesn't work out, or you prefer to tether that way.
