As a test I took out the AFC ring from the barrel, comparing with and without the ring I would say that without the AF is slightly looser although doing this will leave you with no control over the AF. The H45 is held in a foam layer, underneath that is another box which holds the bits-n-bobs and the documentation.The pre-installed coil is 0.4ohm but you get a second coil (0.6ohm) included, as well as a little spanner and a good quality USB-C cable. When beginning to vape, remember to draw from the mouthpiece as you hold down the fire button (not before or after pressing the button) Take smooth 1-2 second draws, to begin with until you find the best sensation for you. Also, experiment with the airflow of the tank allowing as much air as comfortable for you to produce a smooth spit free vape. At 25w with the AF set to half you can get a decent mouth to lung vape although while the vapour quality was good for a Mouth to Lung (MTL) draw the flavour for me wasn’t so good, which is strange as normally on any other RDA a MTL vape is normally very flavourful some. Using a thin high PG e-liquid in a direct-to-lung vape kit will result in a leak either because the looser cotton couldn't hold the liquid or because it got too hot, causing the juice to become even runnier.

What Can We Expect from the Tengu RDA by Geek Vape?

At 60w with the AF wide and Direct to Lung ( DTL) style it produces a comfortable vape with good flavour and a decent amount of vapour production. The outer airflow is handled by 13 X 1mm holes to each side of the RDA. The top of the barrel is slightly bevelled leading to the 810 mouthpiece slot which has a white O-ring installed to hold the 810 drip tip. The Geekvape Tengu RDA has a strange airflow, one would assume that the 13 x 1mm holes holes each side would be enough AF to produce a very open draw, not so, the draw is to me is slightly to restrictive. If the charging current is still very large, lithium ions are likely to accumulate in the vicinity of the negative electrode of the battery, and grow into dendritic crystals, commonly known as dendrites; the long-term dendrite pierces the separator between the positive and negative stages to form a short circuit. Therefore, for the safety of the battery, the charging current will be small in the latter half of the charging. While I don’t use squonk mods on a regular basis, I did take the time to test the squonk function on my Dovpo Topside Dual. The squonking action was very smooth and I was able to take advantage of the 6mm deep juice well without over spill from the AF. Airflow and Ring
