A push-fit coil change mechanism has been added to allow for fast vape coil changing, and to allow users to replace the device’s coil even when the e-liquid is not completely used up without fear of spillage.

Build Quality and Design of HorizonTech Falcon 2 Tank

Any coil that registers below 1.0 Ohm is known as a sub ohm coil. Recommended for advanced vapers only, they'll require more power to use properly, which will be provided by an advanced vape kit. The HorizonTech Falcon 2 Tank has a similar design to other Falcon tanks but offers a few new features over the original tanks. It can hold 5.2ml e-liquid and features a sliding fill system for easy refill. The 25mm base diameter can extend to 28mm with the bubble glass. The Falcon 2 Tank utilizes the new Sector Mesh push-in coils instead of the threaded coils on its predecessors.

The Falcon 2 tank features a slot-style adjustable airflow system, with three roughly centimeter-long slots around the base of the tank. As usual, you can open or close these to your liking by twisting the outer layer at the base. Having the slots fully open gives you the wide open draw many vapers prefer, but if you like more of a mouth-to-lung style hit you can close it up to get a much tighter draw. At this point push the top cap across to reveal the fill port – it does have quite a bit of resistance so you might have to push harder than you expected. The premature failure of the first coil I used appears to be from the first e-liquid being a coil killer. With the second coil and a known “kind to coils” e-liquid I have chugged through 40ml already and flavour is still 100%! Warning: Please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. Always use proper precautions and handling. Refilling couldn’t be easier. The top-filling system works really well, with the top cap smoothly sliding off to the side when you push the indicated position on the rim. The fill hole itself is big, and leads directly down into the tank section. Even if you were brand new to vaping you’d be able to refill the tank with no problems even with no instructions. Problems with the 2 ml Tube The Falcon 2 Sub Ohm Tank looks similar to the previous Falcon tanks. It is well-crafted and very shiny. You can find the diagonal line patterns on the airflow ring and underneath the top cap. The ridges on the tank and underneath the glass are fancy and special. The Falcon 2 has a smaller base diameter of 25mm. It is not big or hefty or tall but looks pretty and matches with major mods on the market. The threading is smooth, the machining and build quality are excellent. It comes with a standard 810 drip tip in a resin style, which well matches the tank color. Your other 810 drip tip can also fit the Falcon 2 perfectly whether it has o-rings or not.

Single battery mods can often do this but you will be guzzling up the battery life and possibly stressing the battery. The main appearance differences are the fact that there is an ornamental centre piece which covers up the coil and the top cap has a sliding action and arrow marking. Well the slide on this has a lot of resistance. There is a marking on the cap of a small arrow and you do need some effort to push this across thankfully. Large vapour production and delivering better flavour from e-liquids is a key part of this tank’s design. However after 4 refills (approx 20ml) this was starting to taste burnt. Upon removing the coil it obviously was! I think this may be down to my e-liquid being a coil killer. I don’t use this e-liquid often so wasn’t sure if it would be. Every time you vape you can see lovely little bubbles forming reassuring you that the coil has filled up ready for your next vape. Not a single dry hit in all my time using this tank. When working with Li-ion (Lithium-ion), LiPo (Lithium-ion Polymer) and any rechargeable cells, please be cautious and carefully use as they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. Please make sure that you have great knowledge on all rechargeable batteries before you use them. Always charge batteries at the clean and fire-proof surface. Never leave charging batteries unattended. If you see that there are visible damages on the batteries, please do not use. Always keep, store and transport the rechargeable cells in a safe, non-conductive container in controlled environment. Personally 50/50 e-liquid will be way to thin for this tank and will probably cause spitting so I would buy yourself a bottle of at least 70% VG onwards. Also a lot of the thinner liquids have nicotine already added which will be too strong when vaped at the high wattage the Falcon 2 uses.

Apparently this conical arrangement acts like a funnel to help concentrate the vapour into a smaller area on its way up to the drip tip. Finally, the Falcon II comes with a wide-bore resin drip tip as standard. You can change this easily if you don’t like the standard tip, but it does a great job of supporting the airflow from the tank, as well as matching the rest of the tank in terms of design. Overall

After installing the coil, your HorizonTech Falcon 2 tank is fully assembled. Then you should fill the tank and choose a suitable mod. The wattage output of the mod should from 70W to 75W due to the low coil resistance of 0.14ohm. A single 18650 battery mode can offer that power output but will consume the battery life and stress the battery. So I recommend you to use a single 21700 mod or dual 18650 mod. The base diameter of the Falcon 2 tank is only 25mm. So it will not be compatible with the mods which have restrictions on tank sizes.
