The movie has some flaws to me for sure ( i don't know about a perfect movie) but i will not comment about that as i believe everyone need to discover by themselves what - if any- dislike for their preferences. Clark Kent, one of the last of an extinguished race disguised as an unremarkable human, is forced to reveal his identity when Earth is invaded by an army of survivors who threaten to bring the planet to the brink of destruction.

I wouldn’t consider myself a Superman “nut” but I’ve seen every big screen adaptation and I have to say that this is, by far, my favorite version. Granted it’s nice to not have the same story rehashed again and again, so it was a nice change of pace to get a different perspective on… everything. I was at first very dubious as to the casting of Henry Cavill, though I’d enjoyed him in Immortals, I wondered if he had the chops to pull this roll off. He did. While Amy Adams isn’t the best Lois Lane, I think she did a fine job here. But let’s get real – this is all about Superman. No doubt Warner is trying to reboot this franchise – again – and I think they might be onto something here. They won’t let Batman go and with 2015’s Batman vs. Superman already filming, the wheels are literally in motion. Usually I might add something like “this movie isn’t for everyone…” but I won’t say that here. This is a classic re-telling of a classic superhero that’s perfectly fit for a new generation. Not many movies that are 140 minutes feel like they go by in about 30, but this is one of them. Suffice it to say that this is highly recommended. Video: How’s it look?

One of the reasons that Man of Steel works so well, is that Henry Cavill disappears nicely into the title role, and absolutely owns it here. For all the complaints some fans have with this film, Cavill’s take on Superman isn’t one of them. What's more, Michael Shannon’s Zod isn’t simply a megalomaniac; he’s deeply motivated to believe that his destructive cause is just. And here at last is a version of Lois Lane who’s intelligent and trustworthy, who looks before she leaps and who Superman can actually rely on. Amy Adams manages to do something unexpected – make her Lois an active, important participant in the story, who’s also the key to Crowe’s Jor-El remaining active in the story too.

Personally, I love that the filmmakers would be so bold to do this — to have the otherwise seemingly perfect Übermensch(the philosophical concept that essentially inspired Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster) question his very existence in an imperfect world. This central dilemma is wonderfully encapsulated by the lessons of Clark's father and Lois Lane's (Amy Adams in a role dramatically different from the comics) untiring search for the mystery man who saved her life while she was snooping around a military base in the Arctic. When questioning her pursuit, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, editor of "The Daily Planet," puts it very succinctly and frankly, a question that in turn reveals a major flaw within us as a supposedly open-minded civilization. This, in turn, places Lois in a dilemma that complements the script's central theme. Clark Kent | Kal-El | Superman - he appears before us as a lost "person" trying to understand his history and origins. He has too many questions not to look for answers, and he is ready to visit any corner of the planet to find out his purpose. Clark Kent does not become Superman, but he already feels what it's like to be Kal-El. Evil is ready to destroy his new world, and he must protect him and eliminate the threat that he himself brought. He must become the hero that humanity deserves. At the very beginning of the film, Clark Kent is an unformed personality, but by the end, feeling all his power and strength, and realizing the threat posed by his enemy, he becomes Superman - a "man" ready for sacrifice for those who need his protection . This is his destiny. Krypton Decoded– The 13 year-old Clark Kent gives us a “tour” of Krypton, the home world of Superman. Superman 75th Anniversary Animated Short– If you were missing John Williams’ score, here it is – albeit it briefly. from the animated artificiality observed in the 4K versions of Batman v Superman and Mad Max: Fury Road). Another example of the gains in depth and texture can be seen in the KansasStrong Characters, Legendary Roles– We know the names, but we’re also given some reasoning as to why some things were changed for this most recent Superman movie. All the other actors involved in the film played well, without interfering with the development of the plot, but only decorating it. General Zod is an ideal villain, strong, intelligent, hungry for power. Hatred, anger - this drives him, and he wants to avenge himself and his fellow citizens and return to his people the house they lost. He is a patriot, ready to die to achieve his goal. He wants to build a new world on the bones of people and for this, General Zod needs to eliminate the only "person" who can stop him. All-Out Action– We get a peek into some of the training that went into the lead actors’ (Crowe evidently lost 40 lbs. for his part) as well as some general information about the film and effects therein. Jor-El, Jonathan Kent | Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner - two fathers, two different characters, but in one they are alike - for them Kal-El / Clark Kent was always the only son, their hope for the future, he led them and forced them to take extreme measures for the sake of the well-being of the future superhero. Jonathan Kent led Clark Kent all his life and thanks to this, Kal-El learned the truth about himself, while preserving his human face. Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner, as befits the actors of their level, played well, and there is a hope that in the continuation of the "Man of Steel" we will still meet their heroes.
