About this deal

Stopping smoking is the single most effective intervention for improving the health of both the pregnant smoker and her baby, and the earlier abstinence is achieved the better. Ideally smoking cessation during pregnancy should be achieved without NRT. For those using this product for the first time or those who have not used the spray for 2 days, they must first prime the spray pump. Plasma protein binding of nicotine is less than 5%. Therefore, changes in nicotine binding from use of concomitant drugs or alterations of plasma proteins by disease states would not be expected to have any significant effects on the nicotine pharmacokinetics.

So, how do they work? Like most NRT products, Nicorette® Lozenges provide your body with a low-level dose of nicotine to relieve your cravings – without the tar, carbon monoxide and toxic chemicals found in tobacco smoke. As the lozenge dissolves, nicotine is released into your body through the lining of your mouth. Symptoms: Symptoms of overdose with nicotine from this product may occur in smokers/vapers who have previously had a low nicotine intake from cigarettes/e-cigarettes or if other sources of nicotine are used concomitantly with this product. Any risks that may be associated with NRT are substantially outweighed by the well-established dangers of continued smoking. The risks of continued vaping are not yet established. The adverse reactions observed in patients treated with oral nicotine formulations during clinical trials and post-marketing experience are listed below by System Organ Class (SOC).The pharmacokinetics of the mouth spray has been studied in 4 studies. The studies included 141 subjects. If you are pregnant, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse for advice before using this product or if you need any advice before starting to use this product, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

In addition to this, other cessation-associated symptoms were seen in those using the mouth spray: dizziness, presyncopal symptoms, constipation, and gingival bleeding. When you stop smoking, you may experience withdrawal symptoms and cravings. When you chew Nicorette® Gum it releases nicotine, which passes through the lining of your mouth and into your body, working to relieve these withdrawal symptoms. Nicorette® Cools 4mg Lozenge product strength is suitable for those smoking more than 20 cigarettes a day. Tutti Frutti Flavour liquid (contains orange oil, orange oil terpenes, isoamyl butyrate and citral)

Why quit with Nicorette?

Clinical studies have shown that nicotine replacement products can help smokers abstain from use by relieving these withdrawal symptoms. Nicorette® Inhalator works to relieve cravings and nicotine withdrawal symptoms associated with a dependence on tobacco2. It s a form of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) that provides a low level of nicotine to help reduce withdrawal symptoms without any of the tar, carbon monoxide and other chemicals contained in tobacco smoke. Directions: For adults and children 12 years and over. It is important to use enough nicotine spray to control cravings. Use 1 spray first when you would normally smoke/vape, or have cravings to smoke/vape. If your cravings do not disappear within a few minutes use a second spray. If 2 sprays are required to control cravings, future doses may be delivered as 2 consecutive sprays. Do not use more than 2 sprays per dose or 4 sprays per hour or 64 sprays per day. Care should be taken not to spray the eyes. If you get spray in your eyes rinse thoroughly with water. Do not inhale whilst spraying to avoid getting spray down your throat. Although the frequency in the active group is less than that of the placebo group, the frequency in the specific formulation in which the PT was identified as a systemic ADR was greater in the active group than the placebo group.

Use of nicotine by the pregnant smoker should only be initiated after advice from a health care professional. Nicorette fruit 2mg lozenge is used to relieve and/or prevent withdrawal symptoms and reduce the cravings you get when you try to stop smoking or when cutting down the number of cigarettes you smoke. It provides a safer alternative to smoking for both the individual and those around them. However it can be used in a number of different ways, either to completely replace all your cigarettes, or if you do not feel ready to stop smoking completely, to replace certain cigarettes and therefore help you to cut down the number of cigarettes you smoke. It may also help increase your motivation to quit. Requires willpower. Nicotine is an agonist at nicotine receptors in the peripheral and central nervous system and has pronounced CNS and cardiovascular effects. Children aged between 12 to 18 years should consult with a doctor, nurse or pharmacist before starting to use this product. Danger in children: Doses of nicotine tolerated by adult and adolescent smokers or vapers can produce severe toxicity in children that may be fatal. Products containing nicotine should not be left where they may be misused, handled or ingested by children. See Section 4.9 Overdose. Stopping smoking: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in tobacco smoke induce the metabolism of drugs metabolised by CYP 1A2 (and possibly by CYP 1A1). When a smoker stops smoking, this may result in slower metabolism and a consequent rise in blood levels of such drugs. This is of potential clinical importance for products with a narrow therapeutic window, e.g. theophylline, clozapine and ropinirole.

The pharmacokinetics of nicotine has been extensively studied, and variations in delivery format have been found to have significant effects on rate and extent of absorption.

GI disease: Nicotine may exacerbate symptoms in patients suffering from oesophagitis, gastritis or peptic ulcers and NRT preparations should be used with caution in these conditions. AUC∞ estimates show the bioavailability of nicotine administered by mouth spray is somewhat higher than that of nicotine gum or lozenge. The AUC∞ of the mouth spray 2 mg measured 18.9 h*ng/mL as compared with 16.2 h*ng/mL for nicotine gum 2 mg. Allowing for differences in administered dose, bioavailability was also higher in a second study. The nicotine AUC∞ of the mouth spray 2 mg measured 14.0 h*ng/mL in comparison with 23.0 h*ng/mL and 26.7 h*ng/mL for and nicotine gum 4 mg and nicotine lozenge 4 mg, respectively.
