The outer box is primarily blue in colour, with the brush inside pictured on the front. In this case it is the Pro 1 680 in pink with the travel case included.

It does too come with a premium travel case, similar to that of the Genius X, which allows the brush to be charged whilst inside. However, like the X, this requires a separate proprietary power adapter. As you move up the Oral-B range, the brushes become more expensive, but they do come with additional features and accessories. A small but noteworthy point is that the motor in the Pro 2 series is a little more powerful. What this means is that the head moves a bit more during each clean. It could help produce better results in the long term, but honestly it does not make a significant difference, you still get a great clean from the 680. The Pro 1 680’s handle is water resistant. This means a rinse under the tap, or even used in the shower should be fine. Just make sure you don’t fully immerse the brush in water. ThePro 600 offers 8,800 oscillations and 20,0000 pulsations whilst the 2000 offers 9,900oscillations and 45,000 pulsations.The case is a rounded rectangle shape, hinged on the left side like a book, with a clip on the right side to secure the case closed. But, it comes down to versatility. Not all of us have a power outlet in our bathroom for frequent recharging. If you go away on holiday for a week or 2, you don’t really want to have to take the charging stand or worry that your brush will run out of power. Not being a smart toothbrush the total number of components used are less, thus less waste is created when the brush no longer works.

With regards to the Oral-B 1 series specifically; it has limited box contents which reduces its weight during transportation compared to others that come with more items. The box could be made a bit smaller, saving space and resources.
