About this deal

Rainbow Tetras have many colors on their body. In normal lighting conditions, you’ll notice that the body is covered in silver. A stripe of brown runs along the entire length of the fish from snout to tail. Having an isolation aquarium to keep ill fish in helps slow any infection process. Remember, neon tetra disease spreads through the ingestion of dead tissue. When you choose tank mates for your tetras, the first thing you need to ensure that fish are relaxed and enjoying their mates. Sometimes there can be cases of violent behavior from other species, including bullying. Tetras may also show signs of fin nipping when stressed. In case you don’t know what fin nipping is; it’s a terminology used for an action where fish rip or tear fins of others fish.

Notes: A smaller alternative to the Bleeding heart tetra, there’s now a new variant available called Bentosi ‘White Fin’ which looks even better. Next up, we have the Ruby Tetra. As its name would imply, this fish is predominantly red. Most of the body is light red to pink in color. However, splashes of more vibrant red are found on the dead and tail. Another red line stretches from the center of their body to the caudal fin. The rest of the body is transparent, and they can even hide the blue/red sheen to stay safe if they feel threatened. The average size is 1.5 inches, and they will need a minimum tank size of 10 gallons.

20. Black Neon Tetra (Hyphessobrycon Herbertaxelrodi)

Killifish have gorgeous patterns across their body. Since these fish are also a freshwater fish, the conditions needed for killifish and tetras are complementary. Both of these fish are hardy. Hence, it will make your work effortless. Keeping Other Tetra Fish

Frozen food available at grocery store or a pet care shop must be thawed and broken in small pieces before feeding. Live Foods Tetras will eat everything they can get to, including insects that end up on the water surface and smaller freshwater organisms. You wouldn’t know it from looking at them, but pristella tetras are surprisingly resilient against disease. They’re not particularly sensitive like other common types of tetras. Half of the fish’s body is covered in beautiful iridescent blue. Hints of gold, violet, and bright orange make up the rest of the body. The fins are considerably longer than most types of tetras, too. This creates an eye-catching display regardless of your tank’s decor. Flakes, pellets and wafers comes under the list of prepared food. Both vegetable and meatyu flakes are available but to mimic wild habitat, meaty flakes should be preferred. Freeze-Dried Foods

Leave a large and open area for the fish to swim, as they like to roam across the top and middle parts of an aquarium. The breeding tank should hold at least ten gallons. Keep the temperature around 78 degrees Fahrenheit and the pH balance to near-neutral. Add fine-leaf plants to give the eggs and fry a place to hide. Make sure to cover any filter inlets with sponges as well. The Bloodfin Tetra, or Aphyocharax Anisitsi, is a captivating tetra species known for its eye-catching red tail and fin coloration, which adds a burst of color to any aquarium. The shoaling instinct in this little fish is strong, so even if you’re only able to handle a small group, you’ll see them school. Therefore, it is recommended to have at least four fish per tank.In the wild, the neon tetra prefers dense canopies, which is why you should keep them in a heavily planted tank. Driftwood will provide more darkness and shade. GloFish Tetras have gained immense popularity due to their unique and glowing appearance, especially when coupled with specialized lighting that enhances their luminescence. Despite their modified nature, their care and maintenance requirements remain similar to their non-GloFish counterparts, making them a delightful and manageable choice for any fish keeper. As mentioned earlier, x-ray tetras are schooling fish. They must stay in a group of at least six. If possible, keep them in a bigger group!
