About this deal

I really started loving Vic more, too. I mean, THAT KISS?!!! Holy hell šŸ„µ I'm happy to see that he's finally letting go a little and I can't wait to see how it progresses in the third book. I wish we got a little more of his POV, though, because I felt like it wasn't much and mostly his chapters were about the technical stuff and X.

They each have very distinctive personalities (something I feel is so necessary in why choose book dynamics) A scary Russian gangster guy is the one who buys her virginity. Before he can do the deed, the 3 heroes burst into the room to kill him (as revenge for that guy killing their mom). Theyā€™re about to kill Willow, since sheā€™s a witness, and a loose end they canā€™t afford. But they spare her, and keep an eye on her instead to make sure she doesn't rat them out - which includes stalking her, setting up cameras in her apartment, etc. Pretty soon, the guys monitoring her turns into each of them getting interested in her. And she can't help getting fascinated by these guys who keep popping up in her life like phantoms, even though she's wary and scared, at first. So this is medium level dark - no dub/ non con, but the heroes DO kind of try to kill her, at first. Eva Ashwoodā€™s novel ā€œWhat Sinners Loveā€ continues to follow the life and times of Sophie, a girl whose world is torn apart by a girl named Sabrina. On the night Iā€™m meant to give my body to a brutal Russian mobster, three men storm into the room like dark shadows and kill him before he can claim me. When they drag me from the blood-soaked bed, Iā€™m certain theyā€™re going to kill me too.Yeah, youā€™d think so. But it turns out revenge is a messy business, and when I end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, I royally piss off four brutal, twisted, gorgeous men. No shit but that cliffhanger and plot twist towards the end got me likešŸ˜šŸ¤ÆšŸ˜§. Need me the third book ASAP. I don't know how I'm gonna survive until it comes out ajshjskskskšŸ˜© On a serious note tho, it's safe to say that Eva Ashwood has become one of my fav authors - specifically fav RH author - and I look forward to seeing Willow, Mal, Ransom and Vic's story progressšŸ’— I actually wish we got more chapters from each of the brothers, because those are always my favourite and I felt like we got just a way higher percentage of Willow's dialogue than the brothers and I found myself getting a little bored with Willow sometimes. She's really sweet and plain but I kind of like my FMC's a tad more badass and mouthy šŸ«¢ But I have a feeling that she will grow as a person after everything she's been through and we'll see her progress in the third book. Honestly, Victorā€™s character is up there with my one of fav mmcā€™s even if I didnā€™t like the plot I would keep reading for him! I find his character so interesting, I love his quirks so so much, I love that he was OCD and is super sensitive with it and his rituals, tech geek, canā€™t lose control, wonā€™t even touch Willow because thatā€™s too much ā€˜chaosā€™ for him to handle with his emotions, but the relationship he has with her and the way he really opens up when they speak on the phone till she falls asleep, or text each other in the day I just love them šŸ„° After they bring her into their home, they vow to not get involved with her (news flash they fail, horribly) and to keep from developing feelings.

Overall, this turned into a hate-read because I needed to know how the book ended. It ended in a cliffhanger, so naturally Iā€™m going to read the next one. Iā€™m hoping the second one has the redemption the first one needs.

Publication Order of Black Rose Kisses Books

Okay it took me a little longer to finish this book than I usually would. But it was mainly because my mind was really cloudy with work stuff, I think. I had some trouble getting through it at the beginning of the book because it felt really slow to me and not much was happening. But my friend told me I had to keep reading so I did. And I'm soooo happy I continued! Because it ended up being amazing šŸ’– Now, Willow: I actually really liked her character. Usually the naĆÆve/innocent MC gets on my nerves and I find them annoying, but I didn't feel that with this one. You can see how strong her character is and it just continues to develop throughout the story.

So when I end up desperate for money and out of options, I agree to sell the one thing I have left: my innocence. Because someone dragged his body up from the depths and laid it out as a very public, very gruesome warning. She remembers her life experiencing the worst of humanity and her body has the battle scars as tattoos. Because of her experiences, all she knows is to be independent and to live her life all by herself. But then she met Elias, Declan, and Gray, the so-called Sinners. If you are looking for a very spicy why choose romance with enigmatic and intriguing characters, thenā€¦ this book is for you. They run the university campus with ambitions of one day running the entire city. They are so powerful that at the snap of their fingers they can make anything happen. Every word they breathe soon becomes law.Iā€™ve got a list with six names on it. Six people who wronged me, who hurt me, who took everything from me. Six people who turned me into the monster I am now. TL;DR: This feels like a weird interpolation of Den of Vipers. The brothers are not psychotic in the slightest. The FMC is whiny. The spice is not what I was hoping for. The plot was subpar to be polite. Itā€™s giving Madison Kate series vibes but more adult and mature and darker (not exact but if youā€™ve read that youā€™ll definitely love this) Eva Ashwood is a bestselling paranormal romance and new adult romance novelist. She has said that reading is something that she has been doing her whole life, even though she only got into writing several years ago. First of all, I cannot deal with the names of 2/3 of the guys. Ransom and Malice, are you serious? Iā€™m sorry, but I absolutely detest that. I literally cringed every damn time their names came up. Iā€™ll be calling them Ran and Mal from now on. Iā€™m honestly not sure how I feel about the guys besides their names. I really liked Ran at first, but he turned into such a clichĆ© that I kept cringing every time he spoke. Drawing her a bath after their first time, ā€œthereā€™s always room for youā€, puke. Mal seems promising, although Iā€™m not completely sure if I like him yet? I do feel like I like him the most out of all of them at this point though. Victor is justā€¦ I donā€™t know, not it. Heā€™s giving me major Saint from Kings of Quarantine vibes, but his OCD behaviour is a bit too much. He does however have the most depth so far because of this behaviour, so that makes me like him a bit ā€“ heā€™s the only one who actually has some character traits besides ā€œbad-assā€ or ā€œwent to prisonā€ or something like that. Furthermore, it honestly didnā€™t make any sense for them to know Russian. Iā€™m sure itā€™ll be important at some point, but there really wasnā€™t a reason for them to learn it? I donā€™t know, it just once again feels like something thatā€™s just there to progress the plot or a convenient thing for the dirty talk although Russian isnā€™t a sexy language at all imo but okay.
