Sandwich Tern DE10118 was ringed at the Ythan estuary (Aberdeenshire) on 12 June 2008 and sighted at Findhorn on 18 August 2013. Firecrest EPT969 following ringing at Heysham on 14 September 2015 (Pete Marsh) [left] and subsequent recovery in Elgin on 7 January 2016 (Philip Wood) Sandwich Tern blue J.L6 was ringed as a nestling at Slijkplaat, Zuid-Holland (NETHERLANDS) on 16 June 2021 and sighted at Camperduin, Noord-Holland on 17 July 2021 and at Findhorn beach (NJ0364) on 10 August 2021, after 1 month 3 weeks.

Knot orange JVT (SR75997) was ringed at Nigg (Highland) on 11 February 2021 and sighted at Burghead (NJ1169) on 25 August 2021 and at Findhorn Bay (NJ0463) on 2 October 2021, after 6 months 3 weeks. Sandwich Tern DE52004 was ringed at the Ythan estuary (Aberdeenshire) on 1 August 2011 and sighted at Findhorn on 18 August 2013.Knot PLU was ringed at Brenna, Porsanger (NORWAY) on 26 May 2013 and sighted at Findhorn Bay (NJ0462) on 18 January 2018, after 4 years 7 months.

Herring Gull GV31815 (Y144) was ringed at York on 26 February 2016 and sighted on the Lossie estuary (NJ2470) on 10 September 2016, 12 September 2017 and again on 1 January 2018, after 1 year 10 months. Shag 1485363 (green AAS) was ringed on the Isle of May (Fife NT6599) on 1 June 2016 and sighted at Lossiemouth (NJ2371) on 28 October 2017, after 5 months. Snow Goose (white morph) 3, Curlew 165 Windyridge (in fields east of old railway line NJ237672) Martin & Jenny Cook Knot JXL (SR75606) was ringed at Nigg (Highland) on 11 February 2021 and sighted at Garso (Orkney) on 27 May 2021, at Frampton Marsh (Lincolnshire) on 28 July 2021 and in Findhorn Bay (NJ0462) on 22 March 2022, after 1 year 1 month. Findhorn foreshore south of the village will usually contain large numbers of Redshank in winter, together with a few other waders such as Dunlin and the occasional Greenshank. Along the village foreshore a group of around 30 Turnstone can usually be seen in winter. In summer it is a good area to watch Ospreys fishing. Whimbrel can sometimes be seen on the sands and grass near the bird hide. The channels running along the eastern half of the bay will usually have plenty of Goldeneye and Red-breasted Mergansers in winter.Sandwich Tern DE35539 was ringed at the Ythan estuary (Aberdeenshire) on 28 June 2010 and sighted at Findhorn on 18 August 2013. Shag 1493206 (green CNS) was ringed on the Isle of May (Fife NT6599) as a nestling in summer 2017 and sighted at Portgordon harbour (NJ3964) on 8 October 2017. Sandwich Tern blue UTK (DK52539) was ringed as a nestling on Coquet Island (Northumberland NU2904) on 4 July 2014 and sighted there in summer 2016, 2017 & 2018, and on Findhorn beach (NJ0364) on 27 August 2018, 23 August 2020 and 24 August 2021, after 7 years 1 month. Greylag Goose (orange) LZZ was ringed at Blondous (ICELAND) on 21 July 2017 and sighted at Loch Spynie (NJ2366) on 11 November 2017, after 3 months 3 weeks. Sandwich Tern yellow UPB (DD92040) was ringed as a nestling on Coquet Island (Northumberland NU2904) on 14 June 2015 and sighted at Peterhead Bay (Aberdeenshire NK1345) on 29 August 2015, at Cadiz (SPAIN) on 29 August 2016, on Findhorn beach (NJ0364) on 31 August 2018, at St. Mary’s Island (Tyne & Wear NZ3575) on 21 July 2021 and on Findhorn beach on 5 August 2021, after 6 years 1 month.

Knot 779027 (YCP) was ringed at Neslon, Nordur Pingeyjarsysla (ICELAND) on 24 May 2011 and sighted in Findhorn Bay (NJ0462) on 29 January 2017, after 5 years 8 months.Greylag Goose orange NAJ was ringed at Blonduos (ICELAND) on 21 July 2017 and sighted again at Dulnain Bridge (Highland NH9623) on 11 November 2017, at Ballendal Farm, Braco (Perth & Kinross NN7906) and at Loch Spynie (NJ2366) on 4 March 2020, after 2 years 7 months.
