Coach Open Road is inspired by a road trip along the American coastline and the thrill of living for the adventure. The aromatic Eau de Toilette opens with crisp, refreshing top notes of juicy red apple and sparkling lemon Primofiore, reminiscent of the winds of adventure.

Coach Open Road was created in collaboration with director and photographer Fabian Baron. What Fabian has delivered is a fine, albeit slightly perfunctory slice of Americana. A cinematic snapshot of friendship, the campaign reminds us that the real beauty of the journey isn't the destination, but the experiences along the way. Or as Lennon would say, life is what happens to you whilst shopping for fragrances online. Or something.

Coach will launch Open Road, a new fragrance for men. Like several recent fragrances from the brand, Open Road was inspired by adventures in the Western United States. These notes are accentuated by an energizing dose of spicy Sichuan pepper, followed by a vibrant blend of lavender and clary sage, transporting us to places so far from our familiar urban landscapes.

Today I want to share some thoughts on a new fragrance for men inspired by friendship, adventure and the optimism of a road trip and the American West coast; Coach Open Road. Coach Open Road is inspired by a road trip along the American coastline and the thrill of living forthe adventure.

Open Road was developed by perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault, and features lemon, apple, Sichuan pepper, lavender, clary sage, patchouli, vetiver and cedar. This is the transportive road trip adventure I was hoping for, it does make you yearn for an adventure. It’s your interpretation on how great and how exotic that transportation is. I would wear this for family meals, client meetings, coastal walks and festivals. Finally, the fragrance dries down to a contemporary duo of patchouli & vetiver, and the woodysoftness of cedarwood.

A new Aromatic Woody fragrance features top notes of Lemon and Red Apple, followed by heart notes of Sichuan Pepper, Lavender, and Clary sage, and base notes of Cedarwood, Patchouli, and Vetiver. Coach dedicates its new masculine fragrance Open Road to the concept of American road trips amongst friends and the spirit of adventure, exploration and optimism. The woods on the base give it a soft landing on the dry down, but it does come a bit too linear at this point for my liking. I was hoping the patchouli would give it an extra gear, but it really just anchors the scent, nothing more.
