About this deal

Step 8: Spread the chocolate evenly over the top of the caramel shortbread. Then cover and pop into the fridge until set. Condensed Milk – In my experience, any brand will work. Make sure it’s the sweetened variety though. So… once you’ve reached the end of making it, you enjoy it. However, cutting it up can be an issue for some. As I used a 9″ square tin, I use a 26cm knife to cut it. This is because the knife is larger than the traybake, and it makes it a hell of a lot easier. I tend to make sure it’s straight, score the chocolate ever so slightly, and then just cut straight down. McVitie's Digestives Caramel Millionaire Slices are baked to perfection with a bottom layer made with digestive biscuits, followed by a sweet layer of caramel and topped with silky smooth milk chocolate. These were fridge cold too – you can see the surface is sweating on this hot summer day I made them!

Step 6: Pour the caramel onto the biscuit base and smooth it out. Pop into the freezer or fridge just while you melt the chocolate for the top. Use room temperature butter for the biscuit dough. (Ingredients blend better when all at the same temperature.) If you don't want to use the spread, you can use 300g of chocolate on the top, and plenty more biscuits! Each bar is individually wrapped so you can enjoy a little break from the everyday anytime, anywhere.. Individually Wrapped Slices. No hydrogenated vegetable oil. No artificial colours or flavours. Suitable for Vegetarians. The oil palm products contained in this product have been certified to come from RSPO segregated sources and have been produced to stringent environmental and social criteria. www.rspo.org. McVitie's. Vanilla – A good brand (like Nielsen Massey) works well here. Supermarket versions seem flavourless in comparison.

Doesn’t really matter what you call these. Just the sight of them surely brings a smile to anyone’s face, and that, my friends, is a universal language. 🙂 (“That” being a Food Smile) Lightly grease and line the base and sides of your baking tray and preheat your oven to 180°C/Fan 170°C/356°F. Inactive - Do very little exercise, going for the occasional walk (moderate pace, low intensity). Spend majority of leisure time doing activities such as watching TV, playing computer games, on the internet, reading, cooking, driving, general household chores. My salted caramel millionaires shortbread has been a classic from the start, and I love to try new things. Millionaires traybakes are basically biscuit, caramel, and chocolate. As you can see from my various millionaires related posts, I am a big fan of it and experimenting with the idea. How can you not like the combination of biscuit, caramel and chocolate?! Biscuits I decided to use a mix of chocolates on top of my shortbread this time because I love the mix of them, and its an easier way to decorate something without much effort. You can of course just use one type of chocolate, but it isn’t as pretty!

However, I decided that it was about time I posted my recipe for my Salted Caramel Millionaires Shortbread as I have had soooo many requests for it! When I posted my Salted Caramel Nut Slicerecipe my readers were launched into the delicious world of nutty, salty and sweet – HEAVEN. Here’s a little Q&A section for common questions and problems people face making Caramel Slice! Why is my caramel slice runny?

Ingredients

Oh hey there, anew Biscoff related recipe that I know you are all going to adore and LOVE! Why would you not love it?! Biscoff biscuits, caramel, and Biscoff spread all in one delicious combination of heavenly bites. Is it too far to say I would happily eat the entire traybake?! Golden syrup: This is actually an optional ingredient, since it can be difficult to find in some places. Just a couple of tablespoons does give the caramel an extra depth of flavour (that’s hard to describe!), but you can easily replace it with another kind of syrup (corn, maple, honey, date). Or just skip it altogether! Alternatively you can warm up a large sharp knife with boiling water and try cutting your slices using this!

Heavy - Active for much of the day, walking non-stop and carrying objects. Typical jobs: hospital/ward nurse, waitressing in a busy restaurant, cleaner, porter, labourer/construction worker, gardener, farm worker. Leisure Activity Level You want to use actual unsalted butter – as it creates the best caramel. I use golden syrup, because it creates the most wonderful caramel, as I explain in my video. If you can’t access golden syrup, however – I suggest using the caramel from this recipe post instead. The chocolate part is quite straight forward – you just want to melt it, and cover the top, and let it set as well. I used a mix of milk and white chocolate, but you can use whatever you fancy! All milk, all dark, all white.. or all three! Any flavour you fancy too. It’s epic and easy! Portion
