About this deal

While we listened to considerably more songs than those named in this playlist, those are excellent for identifying certain aspects of the sound, like PRaT, Texturization, Detail, Resolution, Dynamics, Impact, and overall tonality. We recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you’re searching for new most, most of them being rather catchy. To smooth out the form factor, the BTR3K has rounded ends on all 4 edges and concave ends that are far from showing any sharp parts – resulting in a very comfortable and natural grip. Specs indicate that the BTR3K Unbalanced provides 25 mW into a 32-Ohm load and 50 mW into a 16-Ohm load. As we have mentioned before, the BTR3K comes with a clip addon; this clip accessory is made of transparent plastic. This will not provide the same metal build as on the older FiiO BTR3 but does neither feel cheap nor too fragile. Fortunately, this Bluetooth amp will allow audio-enthusiasts to benefit and enjoy lossless and low-latency sound that can be switched at will and on-the-fly.

Last Update for the Night: Loving the BTR3k sound - it's great on the Switch, so I spent a bunch of time playing games and watching YouTube on the Switch, and the BTR3k worked great. zero noise floor!! pretty much every bluetooth device i've tested, have white noise when I pause the music. but it's very clean on BTR3K and I'm happy with it. The FiiO BTR3K has an instrument tonality that is neither too thin nor too bold. Guitars for example are slightly bright and do show a good level of extension. Violins on the other hand are very successful in terms of intensity, detail and extension. Side flutes are fast, a bit bright and stirring. Standalone, it sounds better with Pro 82 v2 than any device in the picture above, except maybe Qudelix 5K - not because I think it sounds better, but only because I haven't tested it extensively yet. Only comparing BTR3K directly vs SMSL Idea (Sabaj DA2) + O2 amp, I was able to rule it out as a synergy combo.

FiiO BTR3K Frequency Response Curve

There's no driver required for Mac OS or Linux. You can use the DAC function right after connecting the player to the computer. With the BTR5, you’ll have plenty of headroom and won’t have to worry about maxing out with 99% of headphones.

The FiiO BTR3K has a close to neutral, fairly bright and transparent treble presentation with good amount of airiness and sparkle. The treble extension is in general quite successful for a BT DAC/AMP at this price range. The BTR3K has shown a good performance in terms of treble intensity, extension and sharpness from Chopin’s Nocturne No.20 up to GoGo Penguin’s treble intensive Jazz passages.I attached it sideways to my belt loop and that seems to work really well when I’m sitting in my car seat. The midrange of the FiiO BTR3K has sounds more neutral and transparent than those of the ES100 that has a smoother and slightly more entertaining tonality. The upper midrange and treble region of the BTR3K is more accented, detailed and shows also a slightly better level of extension. The Earstudio ES100 offers a smoother presentation in the upper midrange and treble region with slightly better control. The BTR3K is part of the latest generation of Bluetooth adapters from FiiO, like the FiiO BTR5, and released after the:
