The first Harry Potter coins were released just weeks after the passing of Her Majesty the Queen. Elizabeth II was succeeded by her son, King Charles III, on 8 September 2022. The first two coins in the 25 Years of Magic collection feature Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, despite being issued after her passing in September 2022.
