About this deal

booking reference number, displayed on either a smartphone, a printed statement or a handwritten note The Refusal is by far one of the most enjoyable Kindle Unlimited romance novels that I’ve chosen to read in a long time. I can't wait to read the next in this series. There's a lot going on in the book, but sadly it came across as rather flat. I really didn't like his wife. Instead of being sympathetic, she is beyond bitchy and one-dimensional. The villain was more thug than mastermind.

I don't want to go into too much detail as to how the story progresses as for a first novel this seriously needs to be read. Eve, you should be seriously proud of yourself because I really enjoyed the read. My only critique would be at times I felt like it was never-ending and there was just a little too much before the excitement got going but it did not affect the read and I can not wait to read more of your work.

Often attendance related issues overlap, so it is important to identify school refusal as early as possible. Typical school refusal behaviours I loved Jo & Janus' story. Jo's attitude is refreshing because I can relate to it. I like the snarky remarks and her sense of humor to throw people off. I connected with her right away as I do it sometimes too. Lol. Her insecurities as a woman are very valid. We all have something that we are unsire of and overthink. Be it our body, our looks, hair, etc. She refused to get involved with Janus because of his reputation. He was seen as a player by the media. The POV switches every so often when it needed to. I think it's very smart to do it that way. The author, Eve, chose the right moments. Its interesting to see his and hers as the story evolves and what they were thinking at that moment. In the middle, we get the best friend's POV as a surprised. I didn't expect that. Despite first language, Kafka also spoke fluent Czech. Later, Kafka acquired some knowledge of the French language and culture from Flaubert, one of his favorite authors. This group of children are detached from schooling and unaccounted for within education enrolment systems. They are not considered to be school refusers. Estimates indicate that conservatively 50,000 school-aged Australian children are not just absent from school but are educationally disconnected and not enrolled in a school [5] Watterston, J., and O’Connell, M (2019) Those who disappear: The Australian education problem nobody wants to talk about’… Continue reading [6] Ibid School exclusion Many of Sid's old colleagues are no longer available to assist him but Chico Barnes still is. Chico is a great character and very helpful to Sid. Together the two of them investigate and come up with a plan to end the threat to Sid's life and family.

Warning signs of school refusal may appear very gradually. At home, the symptoms can escalate at night but diminish once the child is sure they don’t have to go to school the next day. These signs include: Tom Vodden specialises in working with schools and organisations with a focus on behaviour, personal and social development, inclusion and SEND. In his section he asks whether being in school is enough (a reference to one of Eliza's illustrations), whether all children have to go to school and whether school really is the best place for all children. A small extract from his words is: Prague-born writer Franz Kafka wrote in German, and his stories, such as " The Metamorphosis" (1916), and posthumously published novels, including The Trial (1925), concern troubled individuals in a nightmarishly impersonal world. University of South Australia. (2020) Schools unfairly targeting vulnerable children with exclusion policies. https://www.unisa.edu.au/Media-Centre/Releases/2020/schools-unfairly-targeting-vulnerable-children–with-exclusion-policies2/However, as Jo holds Janus off to protect her professional reputation and her struggling business, and as you learn more about the two of them, they become likable characters that one might want to be friends with. Jo is caring and smart and has trouble trusting due to events in her past. Janus is trying to be what a successful single businessman should be while still trying not to deny what he actually is and where he comes from.
