About this deal

In-camera recording, we can turn on or off recording, set a schedule if you want to continue recording and we can also set how long it should prerecord when motion is detected. 15 sec, 30 sec, and 1 min. In general-purpose environments, when the operating system is loaded into memory, it proceeds to inspect all connected devices to populate a table indicating the information of each device. For example, what should the operating system do when the keyboard is running? Or when the mouse is moving? And I like how easy they made it to find alarm recordings instead of manually having to go through hours of recordings on the timeline. You can also sort them by Person and Vehicle.

The primary selling point of the Reolink RLC-811A is its 8-megapixel video resolution (3840 x 2160, 25 frames/sec), 5x zoom, and powerful spotlights that provide colored night vision. It also supports ONVIF and RTSP stream however at the moment you can only access the sub-stream since it doesn’t support streaming in H.265, and the sub-stream is only in 360p. Overall, both cameras perform satisfactorily, but let’s see the reasons why you may consider one over the other. Why should you consider the Reolink RLC-810A?

The RLC 810A (4.0 mm) has a lens specification of f-4.0 mm, and F-2.0, while its field of view is 87° to the horizontal, 47° to the vertical, and a 30-meter night vision distance. Encoder JPEG ― component that natively encodes data streams from the optical sensor into JPEG frames to construct an image stream. As noted in the first part of the review, the camera does not come with a power adapter and does not support WiFi. So I had to find a 12V power adapter and used a 15-meter Ethernet cable to connect it to my router. So far I feel like the RLC-810A does a better job with motion detection. Although it does say "Person alert" when my dog is in frame, but I treat my dog like a kid, so maybe the camera is onto something. The CPU is the main hardware element to be studied within a board. The job of a CPU is to process information. It takes the instructions from the memory that are to be executed, executes them, and places the result in some registers. In fact, each CPU has associated memories that are very small in size, but at the same time are very fast to write or read ― these memories are called registers.

It is interesting to see how a priori we can predict the layout of the NAND flash, by browsing the NAND section of the flattened device tree embedded within the kernel. In particular, we can find within the flattened device tree:I'd like to use a universal mounting pattern. I replaced an RLC-510 with the RLC-810A and changing from 4 holes to 3 seems unnecessary. Most people will eventually upgrade their camera, why not keep a uniformed mounting pattern?

The sub-stream at 640×360 resolution is using H.264, and the main stream at 4K UHD (3840×2160) resolution is encoded with H.265. Note the resolution of the main stream can be adjusted to a lower resolution in the app as needed.

For night vision it uses 18 Infrared lights with a distance of up to 30 meters. And I think its night vision looked okay, not the best I’ve seen but still decent. The Reolink RLC-811A has just one model. It looks just like the RLC-810A but with some added features. Beginning with, it has a lens specification of f-2.7 to 13.5 mm, and F-1.6 to 3.3, while its field of view is 105° – 31° horizontally, and 55° – 17° vertically. The camera’s night vision range is a 30-meter distance with 4 infrared LEDs. In addition to this, the Reolink RLC-811A is designed with spotlights (5 pcs, 6500K, 450 Lumens) to enable colored night vision.
