About this deal

It’s tough to say right now exactly how the A34 will perform when it comes to overall speed, battery life and camera quality but, on paper, it doesn’t look bad at all. The screen specifications point towards something rather special and Samsung has done a stand-out job with the overall look and feel of the phone as well. Samsung claims that the large battery and fairly power-efficient chipset should last around 2.5 days on a single charge, though I’d imagine that would be with fairly limited use. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how it performs in real-world tests.

Make sure your phone or tablet doesn't overheat. Keep it in a cool location, especially while charging. The company claims that the new chipset brings a 17% boost to CPU performance and 14% to GPU performance but I’ll have to wait until I get a sample to test and benchmark to confirm this. This starts with a sizeable 6.6in FHD+ Super AMOLED display, which refreshes at 120Hz this year – up from 90Hz in last year’s model. The panel is topped with Gorilla Glass 5 to prevent scuffs and scratches and the whole handset is IP67, meaning you can submerge the phone in up to a metre of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. I’m less keen on the teardrop camera cutout at the front, though – the Galaxy A54’s hole punch camera is much neater. Use a power bank: A power bank is a portable battery that you can use to charge your SAMSUNG Galaxy A34. You will need to have a power bank that is charged and has a USB port to connect your phone's charging cable.

The Galaxy A34 5G sports Samsung’s latest OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13 out of the box, and with it comes a few unique touches like the ability to use certain Snapchat filters from within the native Camera app.

Out of Bundle Charges

Charging may take longer when using adapters, charging wirelessly, or charging the phone or tablet through another device like a PC.

New features aside, it’s very much business as usual with the A34’s software, sporting a rather clean setup, though one that relies rather heavily on Samsung-branded apps like Samsung Pay (that still doesn’t support my bank!). I’ve spent an hour using the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G at a briefing event behind closed doors prior to the announcement, and here’s what I think so far. Design and screen Make sure your phone or tablet doesn't overheat. Keep it in a cool location, especially while charging. Charging may take longer when using adapters, charging wirelessly, or charging the phone or tablet through another device. Having the option to wirelessly charge your device is quite convenient for many of us, therefore we will explain to you, how you can add wireless charging to your Samsung A34 5G. Not all devices are wireless charging compatible but with the addition of a couple of wireless charging accessories, you’ll be able to add wireless charging to your device. Why do you want wireless charging on your Samsung A34 5G?Instead, you should go for green (“Awesome Lime”), purple (“Awesome Violet”) or – preferably – silver, which catches the eye a bit like a matte-finish mother of pearl. It’s a fantastically attractive phone in all of these colours.
