About this deal

This is Bandai's highly detailed plastic model kit which self assembly is required. No glue or paint necessary. Official product visuals shown are provided by Official Bandai which may be painted and clear coated. Final product may be slightly different upon completion. The Nu Gundam and derived designs are the only Gundams with a triple face vent as opposed to the standard double face vent. Gundam enthusiasts and fans alike will be delighted to know that the Master Grade (MG) Ver. Ka Gundam models are now available! These models are the latest addition to the world-renowned MG Gunpla line, and they are sure to impress. The level of detail and accuracy that has gone into these models is truly impressive, making them the perfect addition to any Gundam collection. The MG Ver. Ka line takes the iconic designs of the Gundam universe to a whole new level of realism.

The Psycho Frame color, which is reproduced with light-concentrating materials, is changed to light blue, providing a refined appearance. Complex features such as sliding panels, completely transformable sections, hydraulics, position changes, and opening hatches are common in Ver. Ka, with some special kits even compatible with LED lights that add to their aesthetics, such as the Gundam MGEX RX-0 Unicorn Ver. Ka.Before I cover anything else, I should probably talk about the hands. Their parts are cast together one plate, very much like the RGs' Advanced MS Joints. Compared to third-party hands in this scale, these are much more durable. The fingers are wonderfully articulated to naturally and realistically assume many poses, but their joints will tend to loosen over time. Fortunately, thanks to a two-peg connection, however, the hands can grip their weapons just fine. Each hand has a peg that folds out from its palm, each weapon has a peg that folds out from its handle, and they connect together quite solidly. The wrists, which have been a point of concern for some, seem to handle the weight of the weapons just fine. The manuals of the old 1/144 model kits noted the beam rifle has a built-in grenade launcher above the rifle's barrel, this claim did not appear in later model kits such as the HGUC 1/144 kits or the MG 1/100 kits. The manual of the MG 1/100 kit, released in December 2000, even listed the protrusion above the rifle's muzzle as a sensor. The Master Archive Mobile Suit RX-93 ν Gundam book released in July 2019 combined both claims, stating that the sensor was an aiming device that was later replaced by a grenade launcher. A high-powered beam rifle with an output of 3.8 MW. At maximum output, the beam fired is comparable in power to that of a battleship-class main cannon from the same time period. [2] It can also function as a beam machine gun by changing the burst selector. An independent aiming device was initially meant to be mounted above the rifle’s barrel, but it was changed to a single-shot grenade launcher that was originally intended to fire high intensity flash round for defensive purpose rather than offensive projectile. [4] Fortunately, Bandai decided against ball-jointed ankles, opting instead to use a single large swivel joint, like those seen on figma action figures. This design holds up the weight of the kit incredibly well, while still affording a good range of mobility. The only downside is that, due the shape of the lower legs, the feet cannot roll sideways nearly as much as the swivel joint design potentially allows. The kit features an all non-ABS plastic frame, making it lighter yet robust. The color scheme is a harmonious blend of white, navy blue, and yellow, with hidden green psycho-frame elements that are exposed when certain sections of the armor separate. This adds a dynamic layer to the kit, allowing for a visually striking display of mechanical complexity and design ingenuity.

There are however also some exceptions, such as the Sazabi, Sinanju, and Nu Gundam, which have excellent articulation and are, unsurprisingly, some of the best models in the Gundam line. The ν Gundam's fin funnels' barrier is very effective and worthy in term of offensive and defense in Gundam Musou series. It lasts much longer and can be performed again immediately over and over, unlike in the movie. Keep in mind that not all models designed by Katoki are Ver. Ka, as he worked on other projects. The EW line, which was designed by Katoki but does not belong to the Ver. Ka subline, is a good example of this.

This may vary depending on the size of the kit. The MG Unicorn Full Armor and MG Sazabi Ver. Ka are both large Ver. Ka kits, but they are not excluded from the subline. The Master Grade model kit of Nu Gundam has heavy die cast parts in the legs and waist to serves as counterweight. This is the only MG model kit that has die cast parts, and is one of the heaviest so far. The term “Ver. Ka” is a portmanteau of “Version Katoki.” It is applied to kits designed entirely or partially by Hajime Katoki, as well as those customised by him.The Master Grade Ver. Ka version of the ν Gundam model kit sports a nearly Full-Psycho-Frame body and has the ability to expose it by expanding as well as purging parts of the Gundam's armor. This state is dubbed "Invoke Mode". [6] In the same vein, the ν Gundam in SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online has its fin funnel barrier be particularly strong, being the second "form" of the unit and being able to nullify most beam weaponry. Ver. Ka belongs to the Master Grade and thus shares its scale and size. They are 1/100 scale and usually stand between 18 and 20cm tall (7-8 inches).

The collection includes a variety of kits, ranging from modified to those designed and supervised independently by Katoki, as well as adaptations from the Cosmic and HGUC timelines. Some kits were also chosen through popular vote. Features, Pros, And Cons of Gundam Ver. Ka The Nu Gundam's name is derived from the Greek letter Nu (ν), which is the 13th letter of the Greek Alphabet. Furthermore, as previously stated, Ver. Ka kits are generally uneven in size because Katoki believes in drawing inspiration from real life and believes that all mechas, regardless of scale, should not look the same. Ver. Ka is to MG what RG is to HG; they are on the same scale and size, but Ver. Ka has superior qualities. Bandai® Gundam Gunpla Master Grade Version Katoki Hajime Plastic Model Kits Series MG RX-93 NU GUNDAM VER KAKatoki first gained recognition for his excellent customization in 2002, when he began customising kits. It is not uncommon for a Ver. Ka kit to lose an arm or crumble at the waist while changing poses, and it is much worse in some models than others, the Master Grade V2 Gundam Ver. Ka probably has the worst articulation of any kit. Following Amuro's failure to stop Char in attempting to drop Fifth Luna, Amuro decided to design a mobile suit that would be able to combat Char's MSN-04 Sazabi. Unknown to Amuro, Char learnt of this and allowed Anaheim Electronics to pass on the psycho-frame technology for the ν Gundam's use. However, testing of this machine was interrupted when fighting between Londo Bell and Neo Zeon forces force Amuro and his girlfriend Chan Agi to take the ν Gundam with them to save everyone. Hajime Katoki’s best works include the RX-78GP03 Gundam Dendrobium, Victory Gundam, and Gundam Wing Endless Waltz.
