About this deal

Super fast industrial gang programmer with four independent modules, ISP capabilities and USB 2.0 connectivity. The 448Pro2AP is built to meet the demands of high volume production programming with automated handlers and ATE machines... It wasn't working on my new PC, but I think that might have been a cable-adapter hasn't been unplugged in over 20 years.

I do still have some old eproms that have been stored in my mums loft for ages. These are the ones with the square window in. Microsoft 64-bit operation systems doesn't allow direct access to LPT port, therefore the communication speed between PC and programmer is very low. In case of Windows x64 OS we recommend to use only USB connected programmers.

Some types of EEPROM chips or flash RAM chips can also be used. There is a (bedtime reading) thread about using EEPROMs here. I do recommend having a look at using EEPROMs before considering EPROMs For large volumes of parts (thousands of pieces or more), mask-programmed ROMs are the lowest cost devices to produce. However, these require many weeks lead time to make, since the artwork for an IC mask layer must be altered to store data on the ROMs. Initially, it was thought that the EPROM would be too expensive for mass production use and that it would be confined to development only. It was soon found that small-volume production was economical with EPROM parts, particularly when the advantage of rapid upgrades of firmware was considered. Power supply: Through USB cable, software will automatically prompt if the external USB power supply is needed

When designing it I was aware that I was likely the only person that’d want something that did both, so have allowed for it to be constructed as a dual 270x/TMS2716/MCM6876x programmer, or 270x/TMS2716 only / MCM6876x only. The programmer devices required for programming the electrically programmable read only memories (EPROMs) are generally expensive. Here is a low-cost EPROM programmer circuit to program binary data into 2716 and 2732 EPROMs. EPROM Programmer Circuit They are ones I got with a whole bunch of other stuff when I bought a job lot of BBC stuff. So my idea is to build the programmer from the beebug magazine and see if I can use those that I already have. I qoukd of course need to erase them first using a UV box.MC68HC912B32, MC68HC912BE32, MC68HC912D60, MC68HC912D60A, MC68HC912DC128A, MC68HC912DG128, MC68HC912DG128A

The sample chips are also necessary to have in hands in the case of reproducing issues reported by customers related to the device mentioned in this AlgOR

I figured it would be easier to just show a picture of one. All fitted components are as specified on the schematic, unless omitted or replaced with a wire link. Choosing a programmer ( Note: this is what I used in 2012, when this article was written. I'm sure there are better solutions out there nowadays!) MC68HC05B6, MC68HC05B8, MC68HC05B16, MC68HC705B16, MC68HC05B32, MC68HC05E6, MC68HC705E6, MC68HC05H12, MC68HC05L28, MC68HC05P3, MC68HC705P3*,MC68HC05X16, MC68HC05X32 Development of the EPROM memory cell started with investigation of faulty integrated circuits where the gate connections of transistors had broken. Stored charge on these isolated gates changes their threshold voltage. Then comes the difficult bit ... understanding what it does, well enough to successfully modify it.

If it takes more than one erase-cycle for them to become blank, count the number of 10-minute cycles for them to become blank, then double that erase time. From time to time those of us with the passion to preserve ancient computers from the 1970 and 1980s will come across the need to replace a failed masked ROM or EPROM. This article is for those that are unfamiliar with EPROMS and want to get their machines up and running again. The text below covers only EPROMs rather than the later programmable ICs such as EEPROM, MPU, GAL/PLD etc. mostly because I don't know much about them. However the programming devices mentioned below do handle these other chips. Furthermore, the article doesn't cover all of the theory and physics. Rather it provides enough practical tips and information for readers to attempt an EPROM replacement of failed compatible parts. I'm looking for something that programs faster although I don't program very often! It doesn't have to cover everything as I will still keep the EPP2 connected.

Now with that I am getting the state showing as being 'Eprom not Present' or 'Eprom Blank' depending if the EPROM is inserted or not. It does not appear to be able to read the size of the EPROM chip, it just says Size=0k. When I try to read the chip it doesn't show anything at all. Support read/write other brands like Porsche BCM without removing any component, JLR KVM ECU, Audi/VW BCM, Mercedes Benz EZS and others.
