About this deal

As of 2021, [update] Fujifilm has released over 35 lenses for the system, all of which offer autofocus. In addition, a host of third-party companies have extended the selection to over 200 lenses, many of which are manual focus only. The zoom ring is metal with a finely-knurled grip. It's marked with 35mm-equivalent focal lengths - 25, 35, 50, 60, 80 and 100mm. These can also be shown as an animated display on the rear screen as you zoom. Byford, Sam (January 27, 2021). Lens sharpness has nothing to do with picture sharpness; every lens made in the past 100 years is more than sharp enough to make super-sharp pictures if you know what you're doing. The only limitation to picture sharpness is your skill as a photographer. It's the least talented who spend the most time worrying about lens sharpness. Skilled photographers make great images with whatever camera is in their hands; I've made some of my best images of all time with an irreparably broken camera! Most pixels are thrown away before you see them, but camera makers don't want you to know that.

Fujifilm X-T1 IR: A full-spectrum version of the X-T1 useful for capturing infrared photographs. [56] It was developed and marketed specifically for law enforcement ( forensic) as well as medical and scientific applications. [57] This lens is ultra-sharp, especially at f/2, a far cry better than the first 200mm f/2 lenses of the late 1970s.The XF1's manual zoom ring essentially demands two handed operation, unless you want to treat it as a fixed focal-length camera. This is in no way a bad thing, though; it encourages use of a more-stable shooting position than the infamous compact camera 'one-handed at arm's length' pose. The Fujifilm XQ1 has a 4x, 25-100mm zoom lens with a fast aperture of f/1.8 at the wide-angle setting and f/4.9 at full telephoto. In combination with the extensive ISO range of 100-12,800 at full 12 megapixel resolution, this makes the XQ1 well suited to low-light shooting, allowing you to hand-hold the camera in places where you'd usually be reaching for a tripod (if allowed) or other support, especially as the camera also features built-in optical image stabilisation equivalent to 3 EV stops. So whereas the Fujifilm X10 got the combination of retro style and a photographer-friendly approach largely right, the new XF1 feels a bit less well-realised. Not to say that it's a bad camera - and it is also the cheapest X-series model in the now extensive range - but overall the Fujifilm XF1 doesn't have quite the same appeal as the rest of the range... X-S line (APS-C) — The X-S designation, which previously had been used for a small-sensor bridge camera, the X-S1, was revived with the X-S10 in October 2020. This new X-S camera is a DSLR-style offering which slots between the X-T3 and the X-T30 and features in-body image stabilization. It is differentiated from the X-T line in using a PASM-style command dial rather than the individual dials to set shutter speed and ISO used by many of the other X series lines. [17]

Fujifilm's EXR sensor can be utilized in one of three ways by the photographer. There's a choice between shooting at full 12 megapixel resolution in High Resolution (HR) mode, or a 6 megapixel image in the Low Noise (SN) mode for shooting without flash in low light conditions, or the Dynamic Range (DR) mode to achieve an optimal balance between shadows and highlights. The latter offers five strengths ranging from 100-1600%. If you can't decide which is best for a chosen scene or subject, then just leave the camera on the scene-detecting EXR Automatic Mode and let it choose for itself. Here are two 100% crops which have been Saved as Web - Quality 50 in Photoshop. The right-hand image has had some sharpening applied in Photoshop. The out-of-the camera JPEG images are a little soft and ideally benefit from some further sharpening in a program like Adobe Photoshop. You can also change the in-camera sharpening level. The Fujifilm XQ1's maximum shutter speed is 30 seconds in the Manual, Shutter-priority and Aperture-priority modes, which is excellent news if you're seriously interested in night photography. The shot below was taken using a shutter speed of 15 seconds at ISO 100. The Intelligent Digital Zoom function can digitally boost the optical 4x zoom up to 8x, the equivalent of a 200mm focal length. Note that it's not available in continuous mode, during movie recording or when shooting in RAW mode, and rather strangely the effects are not visible in the LCD display during shooting.Fujifilm FinePix X100 Overview". It's easy to get the teleconverter, and even better is that this tiny teleconverter can be left on the lens and then the divider simply rides a little higher, with the lens still super snug inside the case. Bravo, Fujinon! The flash settings on the Fujifilm XF1 are Auto, Forced Flash, Suppressed Flash, Slow Synchro, and any of those modes combined with Red-eye Reduction. These shots of a white coloured wall were taken at a distance of 1.5m.
