About this deal

The Greenworks’ seven cutting heights (from 25mm to 80mm) are effortless to adjust using the large lever on its right and its two-way folding handlebar system is very well designed and capable of being used at three different height positions. Despite its size and weight (30.5kgs), the Greenworks Pro GD60LM46SPK4 is easy to store without taking up too much space – simply collapse the handlebar assembly and store it in an upright position. You should get up to about 26 minutes of mowing from the supplied 4Ah battery. As I found, some of the negative comments are due to the grass box being a bit fiddly to fit and some comment that it is too expensive compared to some of its competitors. Also the power system is completely electric so it produces zero emissions and works extremely quietly. Which is quieter between the Gtech Cordless Lawnmower and the Flymo Mighti-Mo 300? Well there’s not much between them with both guaranteeing sound power level below 90dB. For more information please see table below.

When you need a mower that’s light in weight, has a wider mowing capability, is able to reach the smaller areas of your lawn and is relatively fast to mow the lawn, this may well be the best option. The Gtech Cordless Lawnmower 2.0 has a removable safety key which provides additional safety, this is located on the body of the mower behind the carrying handle. With regard to the mono blade, I initially thought the same regarding the balance and vibrations, however I didn’t notice anything to worry about. When I was cutting the extremely long grass and the blade was somewhat covered with damp grass, you do notice a slight wobble as the mower starts up. As soon as it is up to speed there is no vibration. It is also on sale often enough that the price doesn’t always have to sting as much as the usual listed one if you keep your eyes peeled. Your budget and the size of your lawn will be pivotal in deciding which brand and model of cordless lawn mower best suits your needs. Think about the following points before you buy:The extra features like the removable safety key is a nice touch but one that you will most probably never use. Besides you want features that will help you achieve a lovely looking lawn with least amount of work and effort. Does this make it more practical compared to the closest competition? Well, yes I think it does for people with medium to large lawns and limited space for storage. There is also a very handy and well positioned large raised central handle that makes carrying the 13.5 kg mower to the garage or shed very easy.

Once the mower has been fully folded it’s about as compact as you could reasonably expect a full-sized lawn mower to be so for people with limited space this is truly a godsend. Next you fit the grass bin, by pushing the base down and clipping it onto the metal rod. You then lift up the protective flap on the mower and hook the grass box into place. This is the only step I found a bit fiddly, as I had to find the exact angle to push the grass box into place, at the same time as placing it on the hooks. Set up took just over a minute and a half. Although there are more competitors around now than when the original model first launched, Gtech have still managed to produce a compelling product that is perfect if you have a small to medium-sized garden. This is apparently the largest grass bag they have ever used which doesn’t surprise us, it’s rare that 42cm mowers have grass bags this size with most being around the 40L mark like the old Gtech Raven. The Bosch CityMower weighs just 9.9kg so it’s really easy to push around and carry between lawny sections. Crucially, it comes fitted with Bosch’s comfy Ergoflex handlebar system that is perfect for both righties and lefties.Of course this is open to interpretation so if you don’t fall under every single category then don’t worry I’m sure you’ll still love this product. It has loads of great features that I’m sure you make use of even if you’re not its perfect customer. Taking everything into consideration, we believe that Gtech have produced a brilliant piece of kit. It’s both powerful and lightweight and it completely removes the fusses of running extension leads through windows/avoiding cables you find with electric mowers or the noise/added maintenance of petrol ones. Looking for something ultra-lightweight? Look no further than our Small Cordless Lawnmower SLM50. The perfect partner to your GT50 or HT50, our Small Cordless Lawnmower can be operated single-handedly and has two cutting heights to choose from.

The safety features such as the included key are great for that extra peace of mind and additional touches like the impressive stowing capability, fast charging and larger grass bag makes this a brilliant choice for anyone looking to keep their garden in tip-top shape. It’s also petrol free and quiet so there are no horrible fumes to worry about! But, for larger gardens with a lot of overgrown grass, you might be better suited with one of these alternatives. Take the Stihl RMA 443 VC coverage as an example. In the picture above, Deputy Editor of T3 (and budding gardener) Robert Jones is shown in videos and pictures actually using the mower. He also provides his personal, hands-on experience with the mower, talking through his findings in terms of design and build quality as well as performance and features. The Kärcher 18-36 comes with an 18v 5aH battery that’s one of the best in this price range. Its LCD not only displays accurate battery level in percentages, but it just seems to go on and on. I’m guessing you’ll easily get 40 minutes of cutting time out of it. At a smidge under 14 kilos, this one’s a no brainer, especially if you have a medium-sized lawn. Speaking of the price, the Gtech Cordless Lawnmower 2.0 is priced to be on the higher end of the market. The listed price is more than many competitors and is about as much as you would pay for corded or petrol models that have additional features like rear rollers or mulching.

The Gtech Cordless Lawnmower 2.0 is equipped with one 42 cm wheeled carbon steel metal mower blade that provides them two very effective benefits…Whether you think these additional features are needed is a personal choice, but we still believe that the Gtech Cordless Lawnmower 2.0 is priced well given that it tends to do the basics better (and more conveniently) than its competitors. With no trailing wires or messy petrol motors, you'll be glad you chose a Gtech cordless lawn mower. Do you like a stripey lawn? Well sorry the Gtech Cordless Lawnmower 2.0 does NOT have a roller at the rear. It lets you choose to cut from anywhere between 30 mm to 80 mm with 6 separate cutting lengths. Just make sure you don’t set it at the shortest setting right from the start when the lawn has significant growth, instead start at a higher setting and gradually work your way down. This allows the areas of small grass to catch up with the long, resulting in a more even garden.
